Chapter Twenty Four~The Battle In The Ministry.

-June 18, 1996, present day-

Panic struck me. Harry and his friends were in danger. Harry had discovered about the prophecy about him and Voldemort. He had seen me being tortured by Voldemort in a vision and ran to my "rescue". I was not there. I was at home. I got the news straight away and apparated with the order to aid him. It was me, Tonks, Evie, Kingsley, Remus and Mad-Eye that went. I hoped Harry was okay. As soon as we appeared I found Lucius threatening him to give him the prophecy and his friends being held hostage by the death eaters. It made my blood boil to see Bellatrix with Neville after what she did to his parents. "Step away from my godson, Lucius." I demanded before punching him in the face. Harry laughed in relief and ran into my arms. "Harry, I want you to take the others and get out of here. Quickly. I can't risk you getting hurt." I insisted.

"What? No, I'm staying with you! I can't leave you!" Harry cried.

"You've done beautifully. Now let me and the order take it from here." I smiled. Just as I said it, curses were fired at us. We defended them with speed and agility. Harry disobeyed my orders and carried on fighting. I looked over to see Evie sitting behind a rock, looking absolutely terrified.

"Hey? Little scared huh?" I asked worryingly. She nodded and looked embarrassed. I sold down next her and held her hand. "It's just so overwhelming being stuck in war again. I always fear losing people I love the most during these moments. You never know who death will strike next." She admitted. I kissed her on the cheek. "You've got to stay positive and prevent the ones you love from meeting death. It will not be your fault if death is unfair and takes someone away who you've been trying to protect. I need you to be brave for me Evie, and Harry." I told her. She nodded and wiped away her tears. "I love you Sirius Orion Black." She whispered. I brushed a loose strand from her face as I gazed into her eyes. "I love you too Evangeline Grace Thompson I always will." I replied softly before kissing her lips and helping her up. We began to fight again. Harry really impressed me with his amount of skill. I watched him in awe as he finished Lucius off. "Nice one James!" I yelled. Before I corrected myself, I heard Bellatrix scream "AVADA KEDARVA!!!" A flash of lime green light blasted in my direction. I wanted to say sorry to Harry, tell Evie that I had a ring for her waiting for her in my room ready to propose, but I couldn't, I was gone, I collapsed into the whispering archway of death.
