~January, 1996, present day-
Harry was due to leave again for Hogwarts. I was strolling about the house when I saw my family's house elf insulting him. "Kreacher! That's enough of your bile! Away with you!" I shouted. "Of course master. Kreacher lives to serve the noble house of Black." He sneered before running away. I smiled at Harry and joined him. "He was never nice to me. Even as a boy." I told him. "Wait? You lived here?" Harry questioned curiously. I nodded. "Correct. This was my parents house. Here's my family tree." I explained. Harry looked at the large tapestry on the wall. "My family were pure-blood mania, they truly believed it made them royal. The ones that have been burned have been removed from the family." I informed him. Harry looked at the faces that I was pointing to. "Why? Why were they removed?" Harry wondered.
"All for the same reasons, believing in muggle rights, being a blood traitor, marrying someone who is not pure-blood or being a squib. A squib is a person born into a wizardry family and cannot use magic remember. So, firstly, we have my very favourite cousin Andromeda, she was disowned for marrying a muggle-born Ted Tonks, Tonk's parents, Cedrella was disowned for marrying a blood traitor Septimus Weasley, Arthur's father, Isla was disowned for marrying a muggle Bob Hitchins, Marius was a squib, Phineas supported muggle rights, he was a headteacher at Hogwarts. Yeah." I explained. Harry then pointed to Draco Malfoy. "You're related to Draco?" He gasped. I nodded before saying "His mother, Narcissa is my cousin. Her sister Bellatrix is far worse than her. She's completely deranged." Harry raised his eyebrows. "Were your parents death eaters then?" He inquired. "Oh no no! They went along with Voldemort's views but no." I said. "But where are you on this tree? I can't see you." Harry stated. I pointed to the black mark over my face above my name. "My mother did that after I ran away. Charming woman. I was 16. I ran away after she said very insulting things about Evie. I was fed up of living here too. I went to your dad's. I was always welcome at the Potter's. My Uncle Alphard gave me money, there he is, of course he was removed. You know Harry, it's been fourteen years and not a day goes by that I don't wish your dad was still here. He was always there to pick up the pieces." I admitted. Harry beamed before going completely serious as fear came over him.
"When I had the vision of Mr Weasley being attacked, I was the snake. I feel so angry all the time. I keep thinking that maybe, after all that I've been through, what if I'm turning bad? What if I'm becoming just like Voldemort?" He confessed anxiously. I put my hands on his shoulders. "Now listen to me, Harry. You're not a bad person. You're a very good person, who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn't split into good people and Death Eaters. We've all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That's who we really are. You are nothing like him." I ensured him. Hermione then appeared at the doorway and was waiting for him. I pulled Harry in for a hug. "When the war is over, me, you and Evie will be a proper happy family, you'll see." I promised before letting him go.
