Wei Wuxian always turned sad and anxious whenever he thought about it. He didn't want to doubt either Lan Xichen or Jin Guangyao.....but the clues were accurate and true. He never brought the matter up and Lan Wangji didn't either.

Every night, after rounds of lovemaking, Lan Wangji would gather the Omega in his arms and they would silently trade stories of their life.

Lan Wangji's story were mostly about his brother and his Imperial Uncle, Lan Qiren.

"Fuqin was very busy. Huang Shu took care of Xiongzhang and me," he told.

Wei Wuxian blinked up at him.

"Lan Zhan....what about your Muqin?" He asked hesitantly. Lan Wangji went stiff underneath him and Wei Wuxian panicked, wondering if he shouldn't have asked that.

Lan Wangji was silent for a long time.

"Muqin was.....killed when I was six years old," he said after a moment of hesitation.

Wei Wuxian just wrapped himself tighter around Lan Wangji and the conversation stopped there. Wei Wuxian didn't know anything about the previous Empress as well as the Emperor's other consort who was also Lan Zhan's mother. He didn't dare to pry, afraid to make his husband sad.

Two weeks later, they set off to Qishan.

"A-Xian, your heat is next week. Stay in an inn first with Er-Dianxia. Don't go out!!" Yu Ziyuan immediately said sternly.

Wei Wuxian smiled as he nodded.

"Er-Dianxia, we hope you can take care of A-Xian then," Jiang Fengmian bowed.

"Mn. I will. Thank you Jiang-Zongzhu and Yu-Furen for hosting us. I hope to see Jiang-Gongzi in the court from next month," Lan Wangji said calmly, nodding at Jiang Cheng.
