TRAGEDY....😥😥😥

 The negotiations finally came to an end three days later. Lan Wangji was very busy with his new responsibilities as was Wei Wuxian. 

They had finally decided to stay in Cloud Recesses. Xue Changshi continuously asked his nephew if he wanted to go back with him. Wei Wuxian smiled and denied and promised to visit later.

Jiang Yanli, well into her seven months was restricted to travel by the Jins but remembered to write letters to her brother every week.

Everything was peaceful and once the Chens went back, Wei Wuxian sighed in relief. He really didn't want to imagine if Huang Fu would really give an Imperial edict to marry that woman to Lan Wangji.... Very troublesome.

The Wen family, on the other hand, suddenly went quiet. Wen Ruohan was perfectly well-behaved and any signs of his audacity was removed from the Wen manor, except for the parchment they had delivered to Su Moshang who had informed Su Minshan that their allies are willing to help. But, unfortunately there was no direct mention of the mentioned 'allies'.

So, the investigation came to a dead end. Wen Qing's family matters couldn't directly implicate Wen Ruohan as well, as his servant, Wen Zhuliu shouldered all the blame. Wen Ruohan made a great show of being furious and blamed himself and everything and Wei Wuxian was seconds away from bringing out Chen Qing.

Wen Zhuliu was executed. Wen Ruohan remained unharmed.

However, that was last week.

Now, six months into pregnancy, Wei Wuxian was suffering. He had heard his Shijie and Ru Ba Zi complaint and when he started experiencing the backaches, heartburns and dizziness, he realised that this was really happening!

However, despite the unpleasant symptoms Wei Wuxian was one happy, pregnant Omega. He was very proud of his bump and didn't hide it away like other women would self-consciously do. Lan Wangji never stopped reminding him that he was the most beautiful person for him and that was enough for Wei Wuxian to squeal and blush in happiness.

Everything was going well. Ru Ba Zi was seeing Huang Fu more and more often. Lan Xichen and Jin Guangyao would visit every other day to check up on Wei Wuxian. Wei Wuxian was slightly wary of Jin Guangyao but so far has nothing to accuse the man and didn't say anything.

And then tragedy struck.

....

"Aiyah! Lan Zhan! It's so cold here! What is it now? Isn't it just monsoon or something? Why is it so cold?" Wei Wuxian complained from inside the blanket. Lan Wangji immediately left his work and touched Wei Wuxian's forehead to check his temperature. 

Thankfully, it was normal.

"Should we move to different quarters?" Lan Wangji asked as he rubbed Wei Wuxian's palm to heat him up.

"No can do, Laogong! I am just extra col- huh? Huh? Huuhhhh??" Wei Wuxian suddenly gasped, sitting up on the bed slowly, disbelief across his face.

Lan Wangji was alert in an instant.

"What happened? Are you alright, Xingan?" He asked, golden eyes checking Wei Wuxian's reaction carefully. Wei Wuxian nodded and simply put a palm against his belly. Lan Wangji was moments away from shouting for healers when Wei Wuxian laughed suddenly. His eyes were red as he clutched his belly and smiled happily.

"Lan Zhan! Baobei kicked!" Wei Wuxian was ecstatic! 

He hurriedly pulled Lan Wangji's hands towards his stomach and placed it on the curve of his bump. Lan Wangji nervously waited with bated breaths, when he felt the small movement.
