Lan Xichen was unprepared for this. Who knew these two were having such a serious argument? As soon as the Omega started crying, Lan Xichen panicked. No matter what, he is an Alpha by nature. He couldn't help but try to calm Wei Wuxian down.

"Wuxian, A-Xian, what's wrong? I will talk to Wangji. Stop crying," he awkwardly consoled as Wei Wuxian was well into crowding into his space. Lan Xichen hesitantly patted the Omega on his back as Wei Wuxian sobbed and sniffed. The servants were too afraid to approach them when Lan Wangji stormed outside, face dark and was met with such a sight.

His Alpha growled in anger as he snatched Wei Wuxian by his arms from his brother.

"Wangji!" Lan Xichen immediately scolded, as Lan Wangji was recklessly pulling the Omega, despite him being pregnant. Lan Wangji immediately let Wei Wuxian go, who glared at him, before wiping his tears as if wronged.

"What is going on?! Lan Wangji, explain!" Lan Xichen was furious at the way his brother treated Wei Wuxian and immediately got angry. Lan Wangji clenched his jaw but remained silent, lowering his head. 

"Xichen-Ge! Please say to Lan Zhan to stop being stubborn!" Wei Wuxian complained to his brother-in-law immediately.

Lan Wangji sighed and gestured his brother to step inside. Wei Wuxian huffed and followed.

Lan Xichen rubbed his forehead. Just what on earth are they fighting about?

"What.. what happened?" Lan Xichen finally asked.

"Lan Zhan wants to sent me away!" Wei Wuxian piped up.

"Excuse me!?" Lan Xichen was startled, looking at his brother for answers.

"Xiongzhang, Wen-Daifu advised Wei Ying to not travel after his six months are completed. Hence, I simply wanted him to accompany Xue Junwang when he returns to his Kingdom," Lan Wangji explained and of course, his brother immediately understood as his posture tensed.

Now, Lan Xichen is totally against those ridiculous rumours about his brother and has continuously told his brother the same. But it was true. It has been years since a child was born in the Palace.....

Lan Xichen hesitated.

If he had the say, he would also want to send his brother-in-law, just in case.... But looking at Wei Wuxian, that man is dead set on proving the rumours wrong for once and for all.

"Ah, Wuxian, Wangji didn't mean any harm by his suggestion. Winter is approaching, and I know you are unused to the cold, even A-Yao finds it intolerable sometimes. Hence, he was worried about you. If you don't want to accompany Xue Junwang, how about Yunmeng?" He calmly spoke, simply putting forth his opinions and not raising his voice.

Wei Wuxian chewed his lips in frustration and his Omega only translated the entire thing as his Alpha wanting to send him away. Wei Wuxian was sensitive than most Omega, and adding pregnancy hormones to the chaos, was making him unable to think straight.

"No. I want to stay here," he stubbornly refused.

"Ah. How about Wangji accompanying you to Yunmeng? You can stay there as much as you like. I will take over his work," Lan Xichen tried again.

But Wei Wuxian refused and went inside their bed chamber and locked the door.

Lan Xichen could plainly see how worried and afraid Lan Wangji was and felt his heart clench.

"Xiongzhang....," Lan Wangji said, brows furrowed in worry.

"Let's talk to Fuqin," Lan Xichen finally said.

Lan Qingming listened to his sons and sighed.

Of course, he knew his son-in-law would be stubborn. That boy is hell bent on righting the wrongs Wangji has been facing since childhood. He definitely wouldn't want such rumours about Wangji go unchecked if he can.
