Chapter 18

"Ready, Draco?" Severus asked him as they went to the floo and Draco shook his head in negative making Severus chuckle lightly before patting Draco's shoulder lightly in comfort. "It's going to be fine, don't worry. I'm there to save you if they try to kill you in anger." 

"Kill?" Draco looked at him with wide eyes and Lucius glared at Severus. 

"Shut up, Severus." Lucius snapped at him. "He is joking, Draco. No one is going to kill you. They would just say no if they don't like you or your plan. They won't dare to do anything else. We may fear the dark lord, but we are still Malfoys, they don't want a feud with us." 

"Dad, I'm going to talk to them and convince them about how much I like Holly and I want to plan a surprise for her. I'm not going to a battle with them for you to start a feud with them." Draco said angrily. 

"Well, then why are you afraid?" Lucius asked him. "You are not going on a battle. You are going to ask their permission and that's it. It's a yes or no. There won't be anything else."

"Exactly, there will be yes or no and that's it. What if they say no?" Draco asked him. "I don't want to lose Holly and I can't go against her family to make her like me. She won't like me if her family doesn't like me."

"Draco, you are worrying for nothing. James already likes you and he is Holly's father. The others will agree if James says he is ok with it. May be they will take some time and convincing, but they won't say no. They won't say no when James said yes." Severus said to him. 

"You just have to tell them how much you like Holly and how you would never hurt her. How you will take good care of her and all those that every man says when he meets the parents of his lover." Lucius suggested and Draco sighed. 

"Exactly, everyone says that and they may think that I'm just saying it out of formality and would go back on my word-" Draco was cut off by Severus hitting his shoulder with a hex making him yelp in pain. 

"What was that for?" Draco glared at Severus who was looking at him unamused. 

"You are thinking too much." Severus said to him and Lucius agreed with Severus. 

"Just go and talk to them, Draco." Lucius said and Draco looked at him.

"You should come with us too." He said and Lucius raised an eyebrow.

"I'm not that close to Potters or Black or Lupin." Lucius said to him. "I can't help you even if I come there."

"No, but you are my dad and you can tell them how much I like Holly and how good I will care for her. They will believe when you come and tell them that your son likes their daughter and-"

"How did you give birth to such a stupid son?" Severus asked Lucius cutting Draco off again and Lucius laughed lightly.

"Just and go and get it done, Draco." Lucius pushed him into the floo and he stumbled lightly when he came out from the other side, that is Potter Manor. James raised an eyebrow when he saw Draco stumbling out.

"Move aside, brat." Severus pushed him away and came face to face with James and he almost stopped breathing.

"Well, Good morning you two." James smiled at them.

"Good morning." Draco said gloomily and Severus rolled his eyes coming out of his stupor of standing so close to James Potter, but he didn't move away.

"I didn't know you were going to shopping with mum and Holly too." James said. "But, they left a while ago. You are late."

"No, we are not here to go shopping." Severus said with distaste and James chuckled at his face. Severus blinked his eyes when he felt he was staring and looked away.
