Time Travel

Chapter 16

Lucius and Narcissa looked at Severus who sighed as Draco left to his room. They were both curious and even a bit worried as about what happened and why both Holly and Draco were acting a bit weird. They looked at each other and then at Severus who was still sitting silently without saying anything. 

"Severus?" Lucius called him making him snap his eyes to meet Lucius'. "What's wrong?" 

"They are not talking because of me." Severus said rubbing his temples lightly. "I tried to make him talk to her but, he isn't talking." 

"You are not making any sense." Narcissa looked at him confused. 

"You were there at the dining table when she was a bit rude to me, you can't call it completely rude but, whatever. Not that I didn't deserve it. I'm not good to her. Infact, I was worse to her." Severus said to him. "But, your son didn't like it and said she shouldn't talk like that to me." 

"Why aren't they talking then?" Lucius asked him still not getting the point. 

"He didn't tell exactly what happened between them but, he said he won't talk to her till she is nice to me. He won't listen when I said I don't mind her talking like that to me. He is so stubborn." Severus said. "I'm happy that someone are trying to stand up for me but, it is not completely necessary. She is just angry and she has every right to be angry at me." 

"You are right, Severus." Lucius said and Narcissa looked at him confused. She doesn't have anything against Holly but, Severus is her friend from their first year at Hogwarts and even she doesn't like Holly being not nice to him. She understands that Holly just got her family back and it will take some time for her to adjust. But, for Draco, Severus is like a father. 

"But, see it from his point of view. You are his godfather and almost father-like figure. While, Holly is just a girl he likes or perhaps loves from some time. As much as he loves her, he can't see someone, even her talking rudely to his father." Lucius said out her thoughts and she nodded. 

"Lucius is right, Severus. Draco loves you and he just can't see you getting hurt. You are already hurt so much by people who you thought are close to you." Narcissa said to him. "Holly suffered so much and doesn't deserve to be treated like this by Draco, but everyone are not perfect and this is his flaw. He loves her, but not as much as he loves his family."

"But, it is not fair for her." Severus said to them.

"You are right. But, if he talks to her now, he will bring you every time and they will just fight over why she hates you and how much he loves you. Instead of getting close to each other as Draco wants, they will just be even more separated." Lucius said to him. "Give them some time and they will be back to normal soon. She will see that Draco is a very stubborn man." 

"He is a Malfoy." Narcissa chuckled. "But, they only act like this when it comes to their loved ones." 

"True." Severus said shaking his head. "I'll just go to bed." 

"Don't think too much, Severus." Lucius said. "I'll talk to Draco to not completely ignore Holly when we visit them again." 

"He will listen to you." Severus said as he left the room. 

"He will really listen to you." Narcissa said as Severus left. "You don't know but, you should see the way his eyes lit up and how enthusiastic he becomes when he talks about how you taught him something or how you did things together in his past and our future. He looks up to you so much, Lucius. You are going to be a really good father." 

"I just hope I don't mess it up this time." Lucius said and she rolled her eyes. 

"You are Lucius Malfoy. You would never mess anything up, darling." Narcissa said a bit arrogantly before the both of them laughed.
