Chapter 35

Lucius took a deep breath before flooing to the dark lord's manor. He froze when he saw Rodolphus standing with his back towards him. No one knows about him coming here, not even Severus. They only knew that he was here once on the night of Holly's birthday. He didn't want them to be worried and hid it from everyone.

"Lucy, right on time." Bellatrix sang turning to look at him over Rodolphus' shoulder. Lucius inhaled deeply when Rodolphus slowly turned to look at him blankly. Lucius gave him a nod and ignored Bellatrix before going to meet the dark lord.

"Dolph, did you see how the blondie ignored me?" Bellatrix whined from behind.

"Shut up before I make you." Rodolphus snapped at her in a low voice before following Lucius after making sure he isn't followed. "I should've known."

"Don't tell Cissa." Lucius said not turning to look at him. 

"Of course, you don't have to say that." Rodolphus sighed and looked at his side profile for a moment before laughing slightly. 

"What was that for?" Lucius asked slowing down his steps. 

"Just comparing Bellatrix and Narcissa. Nothing else." Rodolphus shrugged before knocking on the door. They entered the dark lord's throne room together and kneeled in front of him blankly. 

"I heard from a source that your brother is with Potter, Rodolphus." The dark lord hissed angrily. "Why wasn't I made aware of it?"

Rodolphus and Lucius almost let their guards down in shock, but had to control themselves to not show any expression on their faces. Lucius hoped that Rodolphus thinks fast and gets them out of this situation. He doesn't wish harm to any one staying at the Potter Manor right now. He also needs to go back and help Severus find Dorea. 

"I'm not aware of that, My Lord. I only know that my brother is out of the country for the past week with his new fling." Rodolphus said calmly. "I can also provide proofs that he isn't here in the country."

"Are you sure about that Rodolphus?" The dark lord asked looking him in the eye, waiting for him to show anything on his face. 

"Yes." Rodolphus gave him a curt nod. The dark lord must be satisfied with his answer, he leaned back in his throne and nodded. 

"I knew that you wouldn't lie to me, Rodolphus. I knew. I already punished the source for giving me false information." The dark lord half-smiled at him, making him look even more awful with no nose. "You can leave or you can wait for Lucius."

"I'll take leave, My Lord. I need to talk to Bellatrix." Rodolphus stood up and bowed to him. He left without glancing at Lucius. 

"Lucius, Lucius, Lucius." The dark lord smiled at him. Lucius almost shivered in fear at that haunting look, but controlled himself once more. "Did you get me what I want?"

"Yes, I got information on Potters." Lucius said to him. He took out a parchment from his pocket and produced it in front of the dark lord. The dark lord laughed like a maniac when he read it and gave him a proud look. 

"I think we can proceed with our previous plan about Potter family, don't you think?" The dark lord smirked and Lucius nodded obediently. "You are dismissed, Lucius. Bring me whatever I want like this, you and your family will be safe." 

"Of course, My Lord." Lucius bowed to him and left the room. He came across Rodolphus and Bellatrix again on his way out, but ignored them. He went to Malfoy Manor and walked into the library in search of Severus. 

"What happened?" Severus asked looking up from the book he was reading. 

"Everything went well." Lucius said and Severus sighed.
