Chapter21

Holly sat on the couch near the window looking at the full moon in the sky. James and Sirius went with Remus to help him during the transformation, even though they only stay at his side in their animagi form and can only watch him as he transforms, at least they can give him support during such a painful process. It's almost a month that she came back in time and almost 2 weeks that she came to the Potter Manor. 

Tomorrow is her birthday, but no one said anything about it and she didn't remind them again as she is used to not celebrating birthdays from when she stayed with Dursleys. She only received gifts on her birthday when she was 12 and going to start second year at Hogwarts in a month from Ron and that was just a chocolate frog. Even though it was just that, she was so happy that someone sent a gift for the first time. 

She didn't know at that time what he and his mother along with Ginny and Hermione were planning against her. She shouldn't have sat with him on the train, but she was too shy when she was Eleven and couldn't say no to Ron when he asked about if he can sit there. She understood a little about his greedy nature when he ate everything she brought for both of them. He didn't even let her eat more than one chocolate frog before finishing the whole junk food. 

Holly sighed, why was she so blind to their greediness and jealousy? Mrs Weasley never let her buy anything nice saying that she is wasting money, but in reality they use the money she got out from the bank on themselves. The first ever real shopping she ever done was with Draco and then with her grandma and Cissa. 

Talking about Draco, she is so sad and hurt that he didn't even come to her once to talk to her and when she went to Malfoy Manor one day to talk to him and clear their misunderstanding, he was with some girl and they were sitting so close on the couch that it looked as if they were kissing each other. Holly didn't know who that girl was and neither did she know why she was at Malfoy Manor. She left the place before anyone can see her in tears. She didn't know why it hurt to see Draco almost kissing some other girl. She didn't tell anyone about it, but she knows that they know something is wrong, but they aren't pushing her for which she was so glad. 

Even though anyone in this timeline don't know about her birthday, Draco knows it and she still has a tiny little hope in her heart that he will come and wish her, but how is she going to face him when she doesn't even know what she is feeling towards him? Hermione said she can't look at Ron kissing Lavender because she loves Ron and it hurts. Holly felt same, so does that mean she is in love with Draco? 

How can that be possible though? They used to hate each other not too long back. Not particularly hate, but they were not on good terms either, right? She can't possibly love him just after spending two weeks together. But, every time she remembers that picture of that girl and Draco, she wanted to destroy everything around her and cry in pain. May be she likes him, but does Draco like her back? He used to hate her too, right? 

Though Draco did try to save her when she was captured by the death eaters and taken to Malfoy Manor, which means he didn't hate her at that time and even his mom saved her when Voldemort asked her to check if she is dead or not and finally her dad died just to save her. They won't save someone they hate, then why were they so cold before her seventh year? Was there any other reason? 

Holly sighed again and leaned on the window looking out at the three animals running around. They look happy to be with each other and they are having so much fun. She focused on her dad and thought how much he is spending more and more time with Snape. Before coming back here, his portrait version said that he loves Snape, so as he is cleared of potions and compulsions, does that mean he loves him now? 

Holly didn't know what to think about that man, yet. He did come to the manor a few times to apologize to her and say that he will talk to Draco about this and even said he doesn't mind her being rude with him nor does he blame her for hating him as he wasn't good to her from the beginning and he will wait for her to forgive him. Her father smiled at him when he said that and she couldn't say anything back after looking at that smile.
