Chapter 15

Holly sighed as she laid on her bed in the Potter Manor. She couldn't sleep thinking that Draco is not talking to her properly and it was all because of Snape. Even her dad is supporting Snape, why don't they see that he is on Lily's side. She thought angrily to herself. There was a knock on her door and she sat up on the bed asking the person to come in. Sirius smiled as he entered her room and she smiled back at him.

"Sorry to disturb you Bambi. But, I wanted to see if you are fine or not." Sirius said sitting on the bed beside her.

"I wasn't sleeping. It's fine." She smiled.

"Is it about Draco?" Sirius asked and she looked at him surprised. "I saw the tension between you. What happened?"

"He-" "Wait! Are you two dating or something?" Sirius cut her off and she looked at him wide-eyed.

"What? No, no." She shook her head. "We are just friends."

"Ok, tell me what's wrong?" Sirius asked her.

"He thinks I should forgive Snape. He said so many things about you, dad, Moony and me. But, Draco wants me to forget everything and forgive him. He doesn't like that I talked rudely to Snape and is now angry at me." Holly said and sighed. Sirius looked at her not saying anything for a few moments.

It looks like she likes him, but she doesn't know that yet. Sirius thought to himself a bit amused at that. And he already knows from James that Draco is in love with her. He is going to have a talk with Draco next time he comes and he isn't going to be as hard as he thought he would because now he knows that his Bambi also likes him.

"Bambi, Snape is his godfather. He loved him from his childhood as a parental figure. Yes, Snape was not the nicest to us but we weren't nice to him too. James was under compulsions and Snape was too. He is right, Bambi. Don't be too hard on Snape. If you don't like him then be civil with him at least if not friendly. Just avoid him whenever he is in the same room and don't talk until and unless it is necessary and just be polite to him." Sirius said to her.

"You are taking his side too just like dad." She said and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into him.

"Bambi, I'm not taking his side." Sirius kissed the top of her head. "I'm not taking anyone's side. I'm just saying Draco likes his godfather just like you like yours. I used to insult Lestranges, Malfoys and all the dark allied families even if I liked Narcissa."

"What are you saying?" Holly asked looking at him confused.

"They know I hate them and still they didn't hate you and didn't treat you bad. They were there for you when we couldn't. Rabastan even opened up his house for you. He is taking care of my brother." Sirius sighed.

"But, this is different. You didn't know about them. But, Snape knew. We told him. Draco told him. He didn't even listen to Draco, then I don't understand why Draco still supports him." Holly said exasperated.

"Bambi, the compulsions won't let him think bad about Lily at all. Also, they won't let him think good about us. You are not seeing it." Sirius said to her.

"I can't forget what he said even if it was under compulsions, Siri." Holly said and Sirius didn't know how to explain it to her. He can understand that she loves them and can't bear if someone insults them as she lost them once and now when she met them, she is so over protective.

"Life is short, Bambi. James died at 20 years back in your timeline. Now, we won't let him die though. But, we don't know when, what and how something can happen and destroy our lives. So, all I'm saying is we should just forget about people's mistakes and move on in our life. We won't get anything by holding a grudge against anyone." Sirius said to her.
