After her visit in Paris, June finds herself overworked and stressed out at work. Luckily she made plans with July today and she's really excited to tell her all about the trip to Paris. The thought of her romantic strolls with Matt through the streets of Paris and the sight of the Eiffel Tower improve her mood and she relax a bit before once again trying to concentrate but it's almost impossible to get anything done this day. She sighs heavily and slumps in her chair for a minute before putting her head in her arms and shaking her head.
"Go home, June. You're really making the rest of us miserable." Her boys tells her with a small smile after having asked her something 4 times before receiving an answer that actually made sense. "Take the rest of the day off, get a drink with a friend and come back tomorrow well rested and happy as usually."
June gapes at her boss. "Are you serious?"
He nods firmly. "Yes, June. You're having an off day. Everything you've turned in today has been more wrong than right. See you tomorrow."
"Thank you. I'm really sorry." She looks guilty but her boss says "It's okay to have an off day once in a while. We all have that sometimes."
"You don't." June mutters but he catches it and laughs. "Oh but I do. I call it I'm-working-from-home-today."
June quickly gatters her things at sets course for the restaurant where she's supposed to meet July. When she arrives, July's already there, talking to a man that has his back to June.
The man seems very familiar and July almost run over 3 people on her way to the table, when she realizes, it's Brian.
"Baaaabe." He screams when he sees her.
"Brian?! What are you doing here?!" Her loud voice make some of the other costumers turn to them to see what all the fuss is about.
I'm here to hear all about your trip to Paris with that wonderful man of yours." He beams at her and hugs her closely.
June squeals. "I've missed you soo much! It's so good to see you. How are you?"
Brian laughs softly. "I'm fine. But I wanna hear about the trip right now."
"I'm here too you know." July chirps in with a sly smile.
"Yeah, sorry. Hi babe." June frees herself from Brian's embrace and gives July a quick hug.
"Okay, I have so much to tell you guys." June says as she comes back with a large latte. "First of all we saw so many great places and did so many things I'm not gonna tell you guys about. But the best part was that we had a romantic dinner at the Louvre."
July gasps loudly. "Even I haven't done that, and I think I might have a few connections who work there."
"It was truly magically." June sighs happily. Her off day all forgotten now. "We met this cab driver who was a fan of Matts and knew a custode at the Louvre so he set Matt up with the guy and then Matt planned this entire dinner and showing of a few of the pieces you cannot miss out on. I think I spent an entire hour just looking at the Mona Lisa. It ended with Matt having to carry me to the next piece. I could have stayed there for days."
"I'm not jealous at all." Brian says with envy clear on his face and July shrugs and rolls her eyes "Me either."
"You two are such liars." June burst out laughing and they both join her and July says "Of course we're jealous. I'm so happy for you, babe. Who'd have thought your life would be like this when we went to San Francisco? Before this you spent so much time on your own and not very interested in meeting other people or going places. Look a you now. You have grown so much. I'm so proud of you babe." July takes a deep breath to keep tears from falling.
June hugs her hard. "Thanks babe. I feel much more like the real me now. It's like Matt brought out a side in me that was asleep before. I'm so happy for all the new experiences and all these feelings inside me."
"Okay, I'm getting in on this hug. I'm really proud too." Brian hugs both girls and adds "And so's April. She was really sad she couldn't be here by the way. Oh and also, can I borrow your couch for a few days June?"
They all laughs and June promises Brian that he's always welcome to borrow her couch.
Later that day the three of the talks to April on video chat and June tells all about Louvre again and a lot of other things about Paris and Matt and what they hope for their future together.
"I'm just so scared that he eventually will grow tired of me and leave me."
Brian pats her on the back. "Don't worry babe. He can't leave you. And even if the unthinkable should happen and he does, then his mother's gonna keep you."
June laughs so hard she gets a stomachache and when she can finally speak again, she says "Brian, you are absolutely right. That man has the best mother in the entire world. I truly love her, and I really do feel like it's mutual."
April squeals "Baaaabeee, she absolutely adores you! Did you not yet see the interview she did yesterday?"
June looks quizzically at the screen and nods. "I didn't. What did she say?"
April laughs. She's clearly happy that she gets to tell June this. "They asked her about Matt's love life and she said that she wouldn't tell any details but if he kept his life filled with the special people that's in it now, then she would be very, very happy. Then she added with a wink that Matt had some time off in June, which is her favorite time of the year, and that she hoped he would have found his special someone by then. No pressure."
April takes a breath and adds "Obviously what she said between the lines was that she's ready to get you two married."
"Oh my god. That's what I call a great endorsement, babe." Brian chirps in and July hugs June for the umpteenth time that day.<
