Sunday ,November 2nd 

9:45 PM

Atsuhsi waited in the parking lot of the airport ,waiting for Ranpo to come pick him up after such a long and exaughsting trip. He checked his phone to make sure he had the right time, and sure enough ,Ranpo was late, surprising Atsushi slightly. Atsushi then proceeded to texted Ranpo, complaining about the incident. 

10:45 PM

[Atsushi]- Where are you?  

[Atsushi]-I've been waiting for you  ,yet you still haven't arrived .

[Atsushi]- Are you stuck in any traffic?

-MISSED CALL FROM : ATSUSHI-

[Ranpo]- I'm fine ! In fact I can see u rn! Look up!:D

Atsushi quickly shot his golden eyes above his phone to find a white van in front of him. He sighed in relief, he was worried the his friend may have gotten into a horrible accident.  Than again, Ranpo was quit good at avoiding danger.  He was what they call a 'phycic' or a 'genius' ,as he was always predicting the future . The unsettling thing about his little 'quirk' was that he was almost never wrong. So naturally,  Atsushi had always trusted Ranpo.

Atushi displayed a comforting smile at the sight of the large vehicle and stepped foward to enter it cautiously. Atsushi was greeted with a warm, familiar grin ,along with a "Hey man!" from his trusted companion .

"Hey Ranpo,  long time no see!" Atsushi replied joyfully, exited to be able to reunite with his old buddy.  

" I'm glad you're back!  I hope you're doing a whole lot better now!" Ranpo said, trying to be as respectful as possible towards Atsuhsi.

"Oh - I ugh... im doing much better now! Thank you for your concern, I appreciate it." Atsushi responded ,expressing his utmost gratitude .

Atsushi pondered back on his past . He recalled all the terrible memories that had been imprinted into his head, the thoughts trailing in the back of his mind every day since his traumatizing experience.

"Wanna grab somethin' to eat while we're out??" Ranpo asked, knowing damn well that Atsuhsi hadnt eaten all day.

"Ugh...Well...Im not that hun-" Atsushi stutered before being inturupted .

"Oh Atsushi ,you never change do you ?A little food wouldnt hurt right? " Ranpo insisted.

"Heh...You're right... Okay, fine, you win. I'll eat."  Atsushi lied effortlessly.

Ranpo drove to the nearest fast food drive in he could find, and ordered some food for him and his friend. Atsushi explained to Ranpo that he would rather eat home than get his friends car dirty. Ranpo agreed to let Atsushi  eat when they had gotten to the apartment , but still showed signs of uncertainty and doubt. About thirty minutes into the ride, Ranpo got a call from his boyfriend,Poe, unexpectedly. 

"Ah ,sorry I gotta take this it's my boyfriend, Poe." Ranpo apoligized, pulling into a nearby gas station to pick up the call.

"Oh, okay, no worries ." Atsushi answered ,recalling Poe's name as a result of Ranpo's love rants about Poe . Atsushi always just listened to them repectfully, although having little to no expereince with love, it was hard to relate or make much of a convorsation out of Ranpo's rants.

Ranpo stepped out of the van ,walking some distance away from the van for privacy purposes.  He then answered the suprise call,  leaving Atsushi alone with his thoughts. 

"I wonder what the apartment complex is going to be like.... At least I get to live in the same building as my best friend..." Atsuhsi thought to himself. " Its going to be very different ....am I really ready to live alone or...?" Atsushi was overthinking again, it was a habit he was very fond of., considering his terrible past.

Ranpos POV

"Heyyyy babeeee~ whats up? " Ranpo asked immediately after answering the unexpected call.

Poe giggled at his boyfriend's silly ,playful tone. A warming, kind- hearted voice, that can make anyone smile with just a few simplistic words.

"I was just wondering if you already had picked up Atsushi from the airport ?" Poe questioned Ranpo, slightly anxious about the boys being out in the late hours of the night.

" Oh yeah ! I did ! We just went to get some food is all . Which reminds me , I got you food as well !! I wasn't sure what what you wanted so I just ordered something big for us to share!" Ranpo excitedly confessed, eager to share a meal with his beloved partner.

"Awh, you didnt have to, but thanks a bunch I really appreciate - KARL DON'T EAT THAT!" Poe shouted at his pet raccoon while hanging up simultaneously , panicked as he did so.

Ranpo let out a brief laugh ,shutting off his phone . Ranpo looked back at the van, staring into the tinted,dusty windows . He knew about Atsushi's worries and concerns . He didn't want Atsushi to overthink or over analyzing the situation to much.  Ranpo was fixated on making sure that Atsushi experienced only the best college years, nothing short of it. Atsushi was tight on money at the time,  plus the expenses of college had already been a struggle, so there was no other option than to live in the cheapist possible place .The least Ranpo could do was support his struggling companion . Ranpo slowly walked back to the large van, entering it as soon as he approached it. 

Atsushi's POV

"Poe was just a little worried about us! Nothing big !" Rapo explained to Atsushi, reassuring his compainion that everything was alright.

"Ah, ok, seems like a legit reason to call so suddenly... Speaking of Poe, how are you two? " Atsushi asked Ranpo, attempting to start convorsation.

"Oh us? No need to worry about us! We are doing great ! Infact, Ive been getting to go on more dates with him. Its all been really enjoyable! "Ranpo quickly ranted.

"Thats great Ranpo, i'm happy for you two." Atsushi commented.

"Sooooo~ Are you seeing anyone Atsushi? Anyone... Special?" Ranpo sneakly teased Atsushi.

Atsushi was caught off gaurd by Ranpo's sudden little interigation. 

"UGH- I - I MEAN O-OF COURSE NOT!!! "Atsushi blushed intensly, practiclly shreiking at the question. 

"HAHAHAHAHAHA !!!! YOU SHOULD SEE YOUR FACE ATSUSHI!!!" Ranpo said, quickly taking a photo at the unexpecting and clearly flustard Atsushi. "It was a joke alright~ hehe. " Ranpo  communicated .

"Better be... Still ,I was ....Unprepared for that..." Atsushi insisted.  "I can't belive you actully find that funny ." Blurted Atsushi, surprised immensely by the sudden question.

"I'm sorry I'm sorry! But you gotta admit ,that was pretty funny ." Ranpo admitted ,still slightly  giggling at the incident. 

The laughter died down as the two came to a freindly state of chatter once again. The rest of the long ride home was filled with music and catching up on one anothers lives ,after all they had been seperated for over four years.
