Still unsure of what Akutgawa meant, he pushed the notion aside, focusing on the more pivotal matter at hand. Akutgawa had entered an extreme state of panic, to the point that he could no longer communicate normally. Atsuhsi's priority was no longer to find the source of the problem, but to ease Akutagwa down enough to fancy even a small conversation with him.
Atsuhsi sighed, "Akutagwa, listen to me. I understand how you feel, and I need you to breathe. Deep and slow breaths now. " Atsushi instructed the disturbed boy calmly, as not to frighten him anymore than he had already endured.
Despite his efforts, Akutgawa remained in a locked stare on Atsuhsi's face, entranced by his kindness and. His eyes still widened, still shaking, still engulfed by pure hystaria. Quickly, Atsushi reevaluated his efforts.
"I have to find a way to somehow calm him down..I just don't know how.." Atsuhsi thought to himself, conjuring ideas of randomness into his hardworking mind. Swiftly he thought up a plan. All he knew was that Akutagawa seemed willing enough to follow Atsushi anywhere. Using these obvious clues, he realized what he needed to do.
Atsushi picked himself up off the grimmy ground, dusted himself off thoroughly, and began walking towards his apartment. He 'attempted' to vanish from Akutgawa's sight. Soon after ,the entranced spirit stood unstable due to his rocking shaky legs. Yet still, with only sheer devotion running through his cold veins, he managed to trail along with Atushi, seemingly unnoticed the entire trot back to the residence. That is, until Atsushi walked inside the building, and guided the unsuspecting ghost back into the flat.
Atushi halted himself right when he slithered into his room. "I know you're following me. Show yourself Akutgawa." Atsushi demanded with a pericing sting in his voice.
Out of the corner of his sharp eye, he spotted the presence . It became less transparent as it crawled out of the shadows, emerging as what Atsushi would have never expected. He was tall and had a sturdy body structure, nothing the frail persona Akutagwa wore. His hair resembled a deep-wooded brown, not a black or white strand mixed into it. He wore not a black coat, but a vanilla tinted one. His eyes were somehow even more sinister and empty than Akutagwa's. He smiled with a malevolent grin.
"Why hello, Atsushi." The voice stung Atushi's ears. It was him. The man that killed Akutgawa.
"Wh..Who are you..? And where the hell is Akutgawa?!" Atsushi roared with deep reguards, a threat lodged deep within his throat.
"Oh so hostlie!" The man giggled. "Don't you worry, Akutgawa is fine." He snickered.
"Answer the damn question, then talk." Atsuhsi growled, snarling at the mysterious entity.
Quickly, the man's smile melted into an alarming frown, he seemed to be wildly offended by the harsh remarks Atsuhsi spat out at him. "My name is Osamu Dazai. You may have heard of me."
"YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!" Atsushi lunged forward ,intending to throw a fist to his face. Upon contact however, his hand had fallen straight through the being. "Damn it..You're a ghost too aren't you..? Serves you right to be dead..Although it pains me to realize that you remain in the same place as Akutagawa. "
"That bloody fucker deserved to die. Yeah that's right. I'm the one that blew your boyfriend's goddamn brains out. I am responsible for the murder of Ryunoske Akugtawa. " Dazai asserted, striking imaginary pins and neeldes in Atsuhsi's direction in an attempt to panic Atsuhsi even further .
Instead, it fueled a fire in the infuriated boy. "DON'T YOU EVER TALK ABOUT AKUTAGAWA LIKE THAT!! DO YOU HEAR ME?!!" Atsushi barked varosiously, coating his words in a dangerous poison so potent it threatened Dazai's safety, even in the afterlife. The talk of Akutgawa being his 'boyfriend' confused Atsuhsi, fuelling the fire inside of his even further.
"Make me shut up then why don't you?!" The older male broke, snapping at Atsushi and his mindless yapping.
Suddenly, his voice returned to a smooth, refined sentence. His dreamy, sly voice reappeared in a starling amount of time. "It's such a darn pity Atsushi, I was looking forward to telling you more about Akutgawa. I guess since you're not interested, i'll be on my merry way."
Atsushi's snarl transformed into a curious jaw drop, he let the thought marinate in his head for a while as Dazai headed for the door.
"He's messing with me..he wants me to break and ask him for the information...I mustn't.." Atsushi reasoned, his prefrontal cortext working to keep him safe. However, the curious cat inside of him drowned in the eagerness to know. "Damn it Atsushi, one of these days you're going to get yourself killed like this.." The words chased his decision down his tightening throat.
"Wait..Dazai.." Atsushi sighed, regretting his next risky move before ever even performing it. "Tell me...more about Aktugawa's past that is."
Just as he was about to float out of the door, Dazai let out a chuckle as he turned around to view Atsushi once again , trailed on by yet another devious smile. "And so it is..The defensive tiger has succumbed to communicating with such lowly lifeforms such as myself?" Dazai teased, throwing himself back into a conversation with Atsuhsi.
"Shut up..Try anything funny and you're over..Got it?" Atsushi warned him ,efficiently getting the point across.
"Ever try a smile? It'd look good on you if you dared to wear one on such a pretty face." Dazai stalled, tipping Atsuhsi's curiosity over the edge that it so desperately danced on.
"Let's just get this over with. I'd rather not spend anymore time than I need to with a low life like you..."Atsushi bolted back, like a sheild that made him immune to Dazai's childish insults.
"Fine, have it your way then. But just know that I was having quite the fun time shredding you apart, I hope we can fancy such chats again. Alas, I must continue on." Dazai played, pulling at the strings of patience that Atushi so gravely held onto as it was stripped away ruthlessly.
