Authors note: Im writing this on a plane with my entire family sitting next to me, wish me luck. I am also in the mood to write heavy angst, dunno if I will tho. (What am I doing with my life.)
Atsuhsi stood infront of his apartment door. Not knowing wether or not to actual enter the room. Or just to avoid it at all costs. An annoyed expression was quickly painted on Atsuhsi's face.
"Living with this spirit is frustrating..." Atsushi pondered. "I don't know wether I should try to get closer to him and be friendly, or just completely cut him off and leave him alone...Well.. I've got nothing to loose."
And so, he wiped out his apartment keys and unlocked the door.
Oddly enough, as soon as his field of vision was extended to the inside of the apartment ,he saw not a trace of the ghost around. Slowly, he crept his way into the room ,looking around for any signs of the boys presence. Atsuhsi had practicly looked everywhere aat this point. Well, except for one place that is. But Atsushi knew there was zero possibility that Akutagawa was in his room. Nonetheless, he decided to check. So, the casualy threw open the door, just to take a quick unexpecting glance ,just out of curiosity. When he did,he froze. Infront of him layed Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, who seemed to be cuddled up in Atsushi's own bed.
"Mmm.." Auktagawa gained consciousness what felt like seconds after Atsuhsi had walked into the room.
"Err...Ugh...Mornin' sleepyhead." Atsushi awkwardly laughed, trying to break the ice ,failing in the process. He forced a sly smirk onto his face as he pressed his body onto the nearby doorframe ,leaning on it to fit the act.
"It's ...not what it looks like ..Ugh..how inconvenient . Just go away, this is not for your eyes to see. " Akutagawa managed to stutter. He was very visibly flustered ,to the point he had to hide his face with his rugged ,black coat.
"Yeah...alright than. " Atsushi sighed. "I'll leave you to...whatever you're doing. Ugh..goodbye . For now. " Atsushi walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
As soon as he was no longer in Akutagawa's sight, he crumbled down onto his knees, his red face and buried into his hands.
"What the fuck...Why is his face so...it makes me just wanna punch him so bad..but then I don't.." Atsushi's mind ,once again, had not one clear thought.
"I don't know what to do..." Atsushi whispered to himself, his head rested in his knees, all curled up into a ball. His eyes grew wet, and suddenly ,he was crying.
"I suppose nows not the time to ask...but I must know. " A soft voice whispered into his ear.
"Agh!" Atsushi flinched back, slightly frightened by the sudden voice intruding his breakdown.
"Why ...How come..ugh..this is difficult for me... " Akutagawa confessed, clearly struggling with his words, physically and mentally.
Settling down from the shock, Atsushi steadily returned to his folded sitting position .He looked at how the area where Akuatagwas eyebrows would be (if he had any ) scrunched up. And how he looked at the ground so that he didn't have to face the terror of eye contact . And how he mumbled under his breath the words he planned to say as if he where practicing his next words so that he wouldnt mess them up.
"I have...speculations ..about your past..." Akutagawa said ,tripping over many of his words out of obvious anxiety.
"And you want me to confirm them? " Atsushi suspected.
"Indeed ,it is so. " Auktagawa replied ,turning to face Atsushi .
His face looked as if he was a clueless child in need on enlightenment to a subject he knew nothing about.
