(TW!! Slight smut ahead!)

While Atsushi was slightly concerned at the silence Akutgawa gifted him brushed it off and decided that worrying wasn't in his nor Akutgawa's best interest. And with that, off he went to reunite with Dazai.

                                                                                             *Click*

The door was then locked just as fast as it had been closed. The sound of the lock turning rang through the empty apartment studio. And just like that, he was gone, and Akutgawa was left alone once more. Akutgawa let out a sigh of relief and panic somehow all at once. Atsushi had no idea what he had just done to him. And well, Akutgawa didn't quite know what was happening to himself either. Although his heart was beatless, and he had breathing necessities, he could feel his chest getting tighter nonetheless. His hand stumbled towards the area his heart would be in, and he clutched it without sympathy. That was how he wished to hold Atsuhshi. Without holding back, without letting him go, keeping Atsushi for himself.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            "Damn you, Jinko...you really are insane.."Akutgawa groaned as he attempted to resist his undying urges.

His flustered look did nothing but grow stronger as he tried his hardest to ignore the intensifying hunger. But it wasn't simple at all, no. Because no matter how much he suppressed this unfamiliar feeling, his appetite only expanded. At this moment, he longed to be touched, caressed, and felt. Nothing, not even in his days as a human, had such effects on him. He was about paralyzed when he came to a shocking conclusion. He slapped his hand over his mouth as he put the pieces of this dumbfounding puzzle together.

"Th-this must be what it feels like...to be aroused..." He grunted, accepting what he had been holding back.

He dug around in his mind ,hoping to be presented with a solution that involved no lewd advances. But he was unable to. The only thought that he could keep locked in his mind was Atsushi. Suddenly his mind began to drift away. For the very first time, he began to fantasize. He imagined Atsushi returning to the apartment from class with a blessed and innocent smile on his face, one that could cure the word from illnesses even science couldn't recover. Akutgawa coulnd't help himself anymore. He smiled, thinking about Atsuhsi making him feel accompanied and safe. He felt himself moving, but unsure himself where to. He freed himself from the suffocating restroom and his two feet led him forward. Past the kitchen, past the sofa, and suddenly he found himself face to face yet again with the door leading to Atsushi's room. He took in a deep breath before entering its confined walls.

In front of him was a neatly made bed. The silk sheets were pearly white and cleansed thoroughly, a welcome gift from Ranpo as Atsushi is too scarce on money to be able to provide himself with such luxuries. He spotted a gray crocheted tiger with big, glossy button eyes. The tiger sat on his bedside table quantity. It looked almost worn down and unclean. Akutgawa wondered how he hadn't noticed it before, but now that he had adored it. It reminded him of Atsushi, the one who had made him feel alone no more.

He finally sat on the bed, stiff at first, but then he laid back and let himself go. He took in a whiff of the warm bedsheets. They smelled like Atsushi, like vanilla. He remembered that Atsushi liked vanilla-flavored foods and drinks. He recalled that Atsushi was the most annoying yet somehow most beautiful thing he had ever seen. It was brought to his mind once again that Atsushi was the reason he had not escaped hell yet. Only, he didn't mind this hell when Atsushi was in it. He hesitantly placed his hand on his thigh and closed his eyes. In his imagination, he could picture Atsushi's delicate, pale hand caressing his thigh. He felt dirty, but it felt good. He craved to take the simple gesture even further, so he grazed his hand across his hip, shivering as the image of Atsushi in his mind did so. Once he reached his hip, he stopped. He didn't know if Atsushi would approve of this or if he would feel revolted and leave him.

"Th-this is revenge Atsushi.." Akutgawa whispered to himself.

He decided that to make things even between the two, Akutgawa would fantasize about Atsushi, maybe even going as far as jerking off the thought of him. And that is indeed what Akutgawa did. He materialized a scene in his mind of Atsushi pulling his pants down teasingly, releasing his erection out from the restricting tightness of his pants, and taking it into himself. In reality, though, he was only stroking it with his hand, quickly and eagerly.

He began to feel a hot sensation run through his strictly cold veins. "W-what is this feeling...? I don't know, but...I want more of it.."

A cold shiver ran through Atsushi's spine as he searched for Dazai. He could feel that someone was thinking of someone, "It's probably just Ranpo worrying about me as per usual.." He pushed it aside. He searched through all of the halls of the apartment complex, peered through the cafeteria, through the main entrance, and finally, he took a peek outside. The cold pierced Atsushi's skin, and he knew Dazai was there. He led himself to a nearby deserted and neglected alleyway, where he began to speak. "I know you're here, Dazai...Take me to Chuuya!" He demanded.

Suddenly, Dazai appeared in front of him with yet another sly smirk on his face, just like the one he always wore. "Not so fast, Atsushi boy. First, tell me what you plan to do once you meet Chuuya?"

Atsushi flinched at the unexpected jumpscare as it startled him. "Maybe try a less dramatic approach next time...Well, if you must know, I plan to get information about Ryunosuke, is all..." Atsushi mumbled, looking a bit flushed and slightly embarrassed.

"Best not to lie to your elders y'know? Could put you in a lot of trouble one day, dont you know? Now, tell me the truth Nakajima." Dazai joked, his deamor coming off as somehow threatening, like if Atsuhsi where to lie once more, that Dazai would do worse than turn him into a ghost.

"F-fine...I want to know about the type of relationship that you and Akutgawa had. He always describes you positively and offers you nothing but pure and real respect, but I don't trust you, Osamu Dazai. I need to know what you did to him, how you treated him, and why he respects you the way he does. I don't understand it! I would also appreciate it if Chuuya explained your story to me. As I said, no man should be able to trust you comfortably. I want to know why and what type of person you are. The extent of my knowledge is as follows; I know right now that you weren't a good man when you were alive, nor will you be as long as you are dead." Atsushi sternly stated, puffing his chest confidently. He wanted to let Dazai know he was NOT scared of him and wanted Dazai to understand that he was willing to do whatever it took to get his way.

"My my, what a dedicated tiger you are! It seems you've passed the test! Now follow along! The walk won't be very long!" Dazai cheerfully proclaimed while clapping his hands together as a mini celebration.

After Dazai finished his little show, he spun around, shoving his hands deep into his tattered pockets, and began strolling away without looking back, expecting Atsushi to keep up with his every step.

"H-hey! Wait up!" Atsushi cried out as he struggled to keep up with Dazai, stumbling a few times to reach his same pace.
