Peter picked me up on Sunday and we walked down the streets for a bit. He beckoned me down an alley way between two apartment blocks and i furrowed my brows. "I know a quicker way to get there." He explained as he checked no one was looking and pulled off his shirt, revealing his spider suit beneath. "Your gonna swing us there?" I questioned. "Your not afraid of heights are you?" I looked down at the ground awkwardly as he pulled off his trousers. "No definitely not." I replied. "Great, then you'll love it." Peter said, pulling his mask from his bag and stuffing the rest of his clothes inside. He shoved the mask over his face and swung the bag on his back. "Come on then." He encouraged me. "Isn't it going to look suspicious me swinging with spiderman, like if someone sees me with spiderman and then sees me with you after, shouldn't I put my suit on?" I questioned with uncertainty. Peter laughed, "The shadow hunter and spiderman swinging together. But i guess your right- maybe people will think we are like a superhero duo." I frowned at him. "I won't do this if you call us superheroes again." Peter smiled defensively. Tony would kill me if the Shadow hunter and Spiderman were spotted together. Tony had made it clear that now my true identity was known, I should keep myself relatively private. The shadow hunter on the other hand, could be as public as she wanted as long as the true identity was kept secret.
"Just grab on to me." He explained as the material of the shadow hunter suit spread over. "Just grab on to you?" I questioned awkwardly. "Ye." He replied. I hesitated and then wound my arms around his neck. "Ok, hold on tight." He told me as he shot a web from his wrist. It reached a tall building and then Peter flung us in the air. "Oh shit!" I exclaimed as we swung from building to building. I wrapped my legs around Peter, trying to hold on tighter sure that I would slip. "are you ok?" He checked in. "Yep, fantastic." I told him. I looked over Peter's shoulder at the city. I stared with a wonder down below. The people were like pin pricks from up here. I could see over all of New York, i could even see a glimpse of the avenger's compound in the distance. Everyone and everything felt so small from up here, like they didn't mean anything.
When Peter landed us in another alley way, i was disappointed it was over so soon. He pulled of his mask and smiled at me. "You enjoyed that?" He asked. "That was pretty impressive." I admitted, tapping my activator, the material slithering off my skin. "You should come with me at some point, you know around the city. You could be the friendly neighborhood shadow hunter." He laughed as he pulled off his suit. "Nothing friendly about the shadow hunter." I replied, only half joking. "So churros?" Peter said, suddenly reminding me what we were doing. The alley way was right next to the shop. Me and Peter argued over who would pay, he insisted he should whilst i told him i would. Eventually i won. "So how are things?" Peter asked as we walked down the street eating our churros. "Good, i haven't got a lot going on at the moment." I replied. "What about you?" I asked. "Yeah, i don't have much going on either. I'm just waiting for the SAT results." He told me. "Yeah, i think they will be posted in the next couple weeks. Are you nervous?" Peter nodded his head. "I just hope i did good enough. I really want to go to MIT after senior year." He explained. "I'm sure you did amazing. You're like one of the smartest guys i know." I told him and he smiled.
"What about you? I know you said you don't care but i think you could definitely do well enough to go to college, maybe. if you wanted, you could even come to MIT with me if i get in." He suggested. I shrugged my shoulders. "Maybe, but i'm not sure if i would like it at college." I told him. His smile flickered and he pressed his lips in a hard line. "Anyway, how are things with liz?" I asked, feeling curious. Peter rubbed the back of his neck, "Oh, erm, ye there, there good." He replied. I tried to smile. "How was dinner with her mum?" I asked. "Oh, erm, ye not good. There were empty tacks all over the walls which i presumed were pictures with Liz's dad that had been taken down. It was obvious we were trying to avoid the subject of her dad and i felt kind of awkward and so i went to the bathroom and went out the window." I couldn't help but laugh. "I bet Liz wasn't happy." I remarked. Peter started to laugh too. "Oh i got a very angry call from her twenty minutes later. I told her i felt ill and was too sick to say goodbye."
