She shot up in the sky in a bulb of bright light as the wrecked ship dropped into the lake, causing a tsunami of water to wipe out a chunk of Thanos' army. I staggered to my feet as she landed. "No, Clara, rest." Pepper insisted, trying to push me to the ground again but I shook her away. "I'm ok, I'm ok, I just need to take it easy." I couldn't bare to be sat down in the middle of a fight. Besides, a large troop of creatures and aliens were approaching us slowly. I spotted Peter, clutching the glove in his hands and ran towards him. "Clara, are you ok? You look really pale." He said and I rolled my eyes. "Thanks." I muttered sarcastically. "It's just the shield, it takes a lot out of me." I told him.

"Hey." We both turned around to see Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers right in front of us. "Clara, nice to see you again." She spoke, slightly oddly and formal for the state of our current situation. "You too." I replied. "Hi, I'm Peter Parker." Peter uttered awkwardly. Carol smirked, her eyes drifting to the gauntlet. "Is that for me?" She asked and Peter held it out to her straight away. "I don't know how you're going to get it through that though." He said, gesturing behind us to the approaching army. I heard the fall of feet next to us. "Don't worry." Wanda told him, planting her hands on her hips. I heard the beat of wings above, as Valkyrie joined us and the clang of a spear as Okoye did too. "She'll have help." Okoye said. I looked around for Pepper, my eyes finding her in amongst the mess and gestured to her.

"Where are we even taking this?" I asked. "Scott Lang has a time machine in a van." Carol told me and I didn't even question it. "And it's way over there." She added, pointing into the approaching army. They started to charge towards us, gaining ground. Wanda flexed her fingers, the red ribbons pouring from her hands as she ascended above the creatures. Okoye ran straight into the crowd until we couldn't see her, but we knew where she was by the trail of screams and dead bodies she left. Pepper engaged her suit, "Take it easy remember." She reminded me before flying off, shooting her blasters. The shield had left me weakened but I knew if Natasha was here, she would be right by my side and the first to face the enemies. For that reason I had to stay strong, for me and for her.

Captain marvel started to emit a bright attacking light whilst I raised my hands, feeling the tingle in my fingers. It wouldn't be as strong as usual, but it was something. "Get behind me." I shouted to Shuri, King T'Challa's sister. She edged up close to my back, protected by the golden energy. From the machines on her arms, she blasted row after row of soldiers and all their attempts at us were blocked. As Carol flew out of the army, we emerged the other side, leaving behind a trail of bodies. "Thank you." Shuri said to me, smiling.  But we weren't done yet. Thanos himself was charging towards us , aiming for Carol and the stones. "Quick." I said to Shuri. She blasted her machine at him, a blue laser emerging, joining together with that of Peppers, knocking him to the ground.

I watched triumphantly as Carol's bright light trail disappeared into the doors of the knocked up van just ahead. But my triumph was short lived as my eyes widened as Thanos stumbled up, drawing back his arm and thrusting his long spear after her. When it made impact with the van, a hot light overwhelmed us and I was thrown back onto the ground. Carol was flung out of the crumpled vehicle and flew over my head, the glove free falling in the air. My face was pressed into the dirt of the ground and I had felt my lip bust open. My leg stung with pain but still I pushed myself up off the ground, my ear ringing louder than before. Only 20 feet away from me I saw the glove laying with the stones still in tact. But Thanos was already lunging towards it but not quiet quick enough to beat my dad.

With a grunt, the large purple fist collided with Tony's face and he flew back. "No." I muttered through gritted teeth, not wanting to watch Thanos near kill my dad again. I limped as fast as I could towards them but felt my feet collapsing under me. My body was about to hit the ground but a pair of hands reached out and caught me. "I'm fine, Peter." I insisted, finding my balance again, trying to push through the exhaustion and weakness. I was suddenly startled by the flash of lightning as Thor leapt forward, his axe clanging against Thanos' body before he caught it within his grip. Thor reached out with his free hand and his hammer met it obediently. They became locked together, Thanos pushing forward. I reached my dad, helping him off the floor. "Clara, you need to be resting." He said and I just laughed at his silly concerns. Tony watched behind me as Steve jumped on Thanos' back but unsuccessful, was knocked to the ground. It felt like we were losing. But I couldn't lose again.
