Happy picked me up the next day and dropped me back at Stark Towers. He had been told by Tony to check up on at least twice a day so although i had the penthouse to myself, i wasn't free. Pepper had called me to check up on me. She had said that she had called Tony, just checking up on him after seeing the news but I could hear a deep concern in her voice for the man she loved. I spent my time watching the news. I'd sit on the sofa, or on my bed all day watching coverage of what was going on in Vienna, just to feel more connected to it. The man hunt was still on for James, but i still didn't believe he had done it. I still couldn't understand how he was alive or who he was really but it wasn't the time for questions. On the Tuesday, two days after Sam and Steve had left for Vienna, the news was covered with reports of their arrest. "Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson, also well known as Captain America and the falcon, have been arrested this morning. They have been accused of helping the fugitive James Barnes, who has also been arrested. James Barnes was a soldier in WW2 along with Steve Rogers and was presumed dead until 3 years ago he was found under the control of HYDRA, having been inseminated with the super soldier serum. The three were found in Bulgaria after T'Challa of Wakanda tracked James Barnes down. He still claims he wasn't in Vienna at the time of the bombing but for the moment, they are being held in custody in Berlin." So HYDRA helped him survive. They inseminated him with the super soldier serum like Steve had been. So if he had been found under the control of HYDRA, why had he still been there?

My phone rang at 5, it was Peter. "Have you got it?" He asked. "Got what?" I questioned. "Your SAT results, i just got mine!" He told me excitedly. I stood up suddenly.  "I'm going to check the post now. Come over to mine and we can open them together." I hurried to the metal contraption in the wall next to the elevator where the post got sent too. I grabbed the envelope with my name and the school logo in it an rushed into the elevator. I stood in the reception, waiting for Peter to arrive, stopping myself from ripping open the envelope. Finally, he arrived. "Peter!" I exclaimed holding up my envelope. He smiled and held up his. We rushed to my room and sat on my bed facing each other. We ripped open the letters together and our eyes scanned the paper.

"How did you do?" Peter asked. "I got 3.5 GPA." I told him with a smile, showing him the letter. "That's amazing!" He beamed. "What about you?" I asked. "3.98." He said proudly. "Peter that's brilliant, i'm so proud of you." I exclaimed. I pulled him in for a hug and as i did, i realized we hadn't hugged before, it had never been a thing we had done. I pulled away from him awkwardly and he furrowed his brows. We stared at each other for a few seconds. I'm not sure why i did it, but i leant closer and so did he. Our faces were inches away, we hesitated for a second but then our lips touched. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but one that felt long awaited. But then I realized it was the first time I had kissed someone since Pietro and I felt sick, like I was betraying him and pulled away suddenly.

"Shit, Liz." I exclaimed. Peter flushed red and looked around awkwardly. "Erm, i'm sorry i shouldn't have-" I started. "Oh no, it's fine, it's my fault." Peter rambled. "No really, it's mine, i didn't think." I insisted. We spoke over each other for a few seconds and then there was a heavy silence. "So, 3.98 GPA, that's looking good for MIT then." I said suddenly. Peter looked relieved for the change of subject. "Ye, hopefully, although i would have to get a scholarship first, i can't afford to go otherwise." He explained. "Well i'm sure my dad can help you out with that, he has connections there, he was doing a talk there the other week." I spoke quickly and nervously. "Oh really? That's interesting." Peter replied, fiddling with his hair. More silence. Then my phone dinged. "Oh it's MJ and Ned." I exclaimed, happy again for the distraction. 'Did you guys get your results?' MJ had texted. 'I'm checking my mail now.' Ned replied. 'Me and Peter got ours.' I texted. 'How are your results?' MJ asked. 'Good, both just under 4.0' Peter texted. 'Same!' MJ replied. 'Me too!' Ned replied.
