The rustling sounds of the swaying trees, the buzzing chirps of the birds, uneven ground, the rich and lush green scenery and the cozy feeling of a countryside home.I feel so at ease habang pinagmamasdan ang paligid. On the other side of the side garden I could see the small flat dock on the lakeside that the manor encompasses.
Manoir d' de Leon is of old and is also beautifully structured like those of an old victorian mansion. This is a family mansion of generations of de Leons and it's been here long before D'L.
My great great great grandfather built this for his love to his wife and children. That's why this mansion is very well kept, this mansion is the most prized possession of the de Leons. In this old manor, I can still feel the presence of the previous de Leons that used to live here.
I had to admit... it's kinda not bad here but still, I'll miss the city. It's also been years since I last visited Puerto Galera, dad's hometown.
Kahit na walang tumatao dito ay araw araw paring pinapalinisan ng mga magulang ko, and because tita lily often stays here during her breaks that's why the house keeping is very well managed. So, I won't be surprised if the preservation is very well done.
I took my time strolling around the outer side of the manor. Kahit ang garden at ang patio ay well trimmed. From here, I could see the wholeness of the back of the manor. If there's one thing that I got quite fond of, it's the green mossy climbing plants on the outside walls that grows light pink flowers. It's almost covering up the entire walls of the manor.
I found tita lily who just got back from London kahapon and my sister at the backhouse by the lake. Lyndel is throwing rocks on the lake while tita is talking to some man.I moved my way papunta sakanila.
"Yes. We'll have to redo all of them over and I'd like to add more floors and some net beds on the side."
"Alright. I'll bring you another sketch and then, we'll start as soon as you like." The man smiled before taking his leaving. He gave me a smile when he walked passed me.
"What's that about?" I asked as I approach tita.
"Oh. The dock is a little out of my taste so I'm planning on redoing it." Napatingin naman ako roon where my sister is.
Sinalubong kami ng marahang pag-ihip ng medyo may kalamigang hangin. Blowing my mid-back length hair along with it.
"Hmm... It seems like yesterday when sienna was here with me."
Come to think of it, it's been years since my cousin stayed here. She stayed here the same reason I am staying here now...
Therapy.
It's peaceful here. No wonder she stayed here longer than expected, even tita prefers it here than the city. Now, I understand why. This mansion is also far from the village which is nice.
As I gaze upon the lakeside, my eyes becomes more at ease, my heart began beating steadily and my mind turns clear.
When night falls, we had dinner sa west dining hall na nakaharap sa small side garden ng manor dahil masyadong malaki ang main dining para saamin na nakaharap naman sa east side ng lupain.
"What do you two think about the place? Do you like it? It may be old but it is the most homely of all plus the people here are very nice." Napatingin ako kay tita.
My sister and I both nodded. Dad is at the center of the table while mom is sitting next to his right side and on the left is lyndel while katabi ako at katapat ko naman si tita.
