As soon as the week of exams were over ay bumalik na sa normal ang mga classes. Atleast for this week we can rest easy.
At dahil patapos na rin iyong case study, all I have to do now is email axel the digital copy of the study para na rin ay mai-review niya if there are any errors.
"Fiona Kingsley, the new ambassador of D'L, gives us a sneak peek of what new styles of the century are going to be added on the new collections..."
I closed my phone after reading the latest headline. I bet the whole company is on hectic situation right now, especially after reading the latest published article.
Bahagya akong humikab and realised what time is it already. May pasok pa ako bukas. Right. I should really get some sleep now and get the company matters off my mind.
It was around 9 o'clock in the morning when I woke up that I started rushing over to the bathroom when I realized that I was really late for school.
"What the..." My brows furrowed the second I came to the room and saw no one.
Walang class? Wala namang sinabi kahapon ah? And kung wala and I didn't know, surely cavin would've told me so. He's like the newspaper in our class. Kung may announcement he'd be the first to broadcast it.
I checked my phone and saw a message that was sent last night. It was from cavin.
"Rai, don't forget the field trip tom."
-Cavin
Today? The field trip's today!? What the hell?! Shit. I even got 15 missed calls from cavin, 4 from Audrey and 6 from cherry.
"Shit." I bit my lip and started to not get panicked.
"Ate, yes. Uhmm... Can you come to school po? I need to be somewhere else pala." I paused. "Opo. I'm at the gates po. Okay. Salamat."
I patiently waited for our car to arrive. Thankfully, hindi pa naman nakakauwi si ate george kaya she'd be here in a minute.
So I picked it up.
"Cavin."
"Rai? Asan ka na? Kanina pa kita kinokontak but you won't answer."
"Sorry. I overslep—" he cut me off
"You over studied that's what. San ka na? Hurry up! Kanina pa nag head count, are you still coming ba?"
"Yes. Yes. Papunta na—" I was cut off again when a black BMW M5 honked at me. It stopped in front of me.
It was axel, leaning down to see me from the window.
"Sabay na." He said before the passenger seat swing open.
"Yeah. I'll be right there cav." I said on the phone without taking my eyes off of what's in front.
Binaba ko na iyong phone at walang alinlangang sumakay na sa loob ng kotse then I closed the door.
"Good girl." Mahinang sabi ni axel the moment I was strapped myself with the seatbelt.
I breathed quietly. "Let's go." I texted ate george na wag nang tumuloy before fixing my eyes on the road.
Looking at the roads, I feel weirdly familiar. I have been riding in his car for a lot of times but I think I've gotten a hang of it now. And no matter how I look at the road, it always feels ease-worthy.
