Chapter 16: Torment

For some times, I think about what's happening between my mind and myself when I'm with him.

Although I know that being with a guy like him, who belongs to a neon and loud world is a bit too much for me. I can't help it. I think I'm attracted to him as much as I wanna fight it.

Of course, I'm not dumb to make silly excuses as to why I just let him stick around me. But I can't tell him that.

Days came by swiftly at hindi nga ako nagkamali. Kita ko kung paano nagsiikot ang mga mata ng tatlong babae sa washroom ng makita akong papasok. So much for some things that never changes.

Although some were happy na makita  kaming magkasama ni axel, some just never stopped hating and criticizing me in every chance they get, kakatwang isiping noon lang ay nakikipagsiksikan pa sila para lang makausap ako but they look at me now with envy, disgust and anger.

Binalewala ko na lang sila dahil sanay naman na din ako at lumapit sa may sink kung nasaan sila nananalamin. I look at my complexion on the big mirror and tucked a few strands of stray hair behind my ear.

"Look at her. She looks so prim and proper nung una but it was just a phase pala. Now, she's showing her true colors." Aniya nung isang babae na halos magmuka nang pumutok iyong labi sa pula ng lipstick niya.

"Ugh. Pabida. Kala mo kung sino dahil mayaman." Bulong naman nung isa at nagsitangoan silang tatlo.

May sasabihin pa sana si canvas 3 ng biglang kumalabog iyong isang cubicle na para bang sadya ang pagkakabukas at lumabas ang isang babaeng nakapag med uniform, it was dawn na wala sa timpla ang mukha.

She looked at the three girls from head to toe, then tilted her head and stared at them without saying a word, as if she's intentionally intimidating them.

Parang natakot naman iyong mga babae at nagsiligpitan na ng gamit at nagsi-alisan. We we're left alone inside. Lumapit si dawn sa akin and faced the sink to wash her hands.

"Thanks." i said.

"No prob." She tiredly replied.

"Hey, are you alright? It looks like you haven't been sleeping well." I studied her complexion, and she looks so tired. Ang tamlay ng katawan niya, dark circles are evident under her drowsy eyes, and she looks pale.

"Don't even ask unless you'll let me draw some of your blood." Humarap siya saakin.

"Sorry." Naisabi ko na lang.

"So, you're really dating him?" Tanong niya habang naghuhugas ng kamay.

"Umm. Yeah." I guess. It was kinda just going that way anyways.

"Huh."

Humarap siya saakin but her eyes went to my chest. What is she looking at? Nakatingin siya roon for a couple of seconds before nodding blankly and head for the door.

Naiwan naman akong mag-isa. "Was she looking at my... boobs?" Nangunot ako.

Looking at her, I can tell she's very much exhausted and I think she could smack just anyone sa sama ng mood and expression niya.

Med isn't even for just anyone. I slightly caressed my neck. Yeah, me too, I had to go through different building floors para sa ibang subjects. I have to review and revise at the same time dahil may upcoming quiz and presentation—na naman.

College isn't easy.

When I entered the room ay naroon na ang prof kaya dali dali na akong humanap ng uupuan. When i saw cavin, he pointed at axel who's very focused in front and unaware at the moment, tumango naman ako at tahimik na umupo sa tabi niya.
