WALBURGA BLACK GLARED at the flock of Ravens as they lifted their wings and soared away from the grave they were previously resting on.
Despicable little things, she thought. How dare they bother his rest?
She stayed silent, however, and the glare seemed to loosen up a little bit by there mere sight of her recently late husband Orion Black's name engraved on the tombstone.
As Walburga Black payed her daily visit to Mr. Black's grave, the flock of Ravens continued their journey through the cloudy english skies, all the way to the area of a place that has a name you might recall.
Number 12 Grimmuald Place.
Now, this story is not about a flock of Ravens - despite how positively interesting that might seem. No, it's all about the girl who was inside that very home; dancing around to a familiar tune.
She twirled on her tiptoes, with her hands flowing around her. Claudia Maple-Black had a faint smile on her lips, because a song was playing - and music was deemed a proper form of distraction.
"Looking back on when I was a little nappy headed boy," she began to sing quietly for herself with her eyes shut in a contented way. "Then my only worry was for Christmas, what would be my toy?"
She continued on with her little dance for a while, her dull little dress flowing around her as she pretended as if she was somewhere far, far away rather than where she actually was.
Yet, that imaginary thought was put out quite quickly, because she heard another voice singing along as well from next to her out of nowhere.
"I wish those days could come back once more! Why did those days ever have to go?" Regulus Maple-Black joined in, singing in his highest and loudest voice so that he could succeed with his attempt of, well, scaring the living shit out of his new wife.
Which he - for the record - most certainly did.
Claudia jumped, stopped, glared at him and then laughed. And so, they were right back to the singing and the dancing part of things - a joyful activity that made them feel something for just a little moment as air-guitars and air-microphones took over.
But, unfortunately, songs end - just like everything Claudia knew had ended a year ago on that day.
She tried not to think too much about it, but she knew just what day it was. And, knowing that fact made that constant ache in her body and soul grow more painful and unbearable.
Regulus too knew what day it was. So, he was determined to try his hardest to get her mind off of things, but even singing and dancing with her for a little while didn't seem to make her smile for more than four minutes.
