46. the cloak & the map

CLAUDIA HAD ABSOLUTELY no idea what her plan was. You see, she was supposed to go inside Potter manor and borrow the invisibility cloak and the Marauder's Map for the mission she was going to attend to at Hogwarts in just a day's time, but she had no idea if she was supposed to steal the two objects or find out a good excuse to borrow them.

Merlin, she really hadn't thought it through. And the worst part about that was the fact that she was already inside the house, having tea with Lily and praying to the heavens up above that Remus wouldn't show up, because that would only make her a flustered mess since she most certainly would loose herself in front of him.

"So..." Lily said with a small grin, causing Claudia to know exactly where the conversation was going. "I saw you leave Remus' room the day after the party, you know."

"What a smart way of hiding the fact that you found out through James," Claudia commented, causing Lily to grimace slightly.

"Well, you do know that James sometimes has troubles with...gossiping."

"Oh, I know," Claudia snorted. "Don't worry, I'm not angry with him. Either way you guys were going to find out, so."

"So...did you do it?"

"Yeah," Claudia replied honestly, though she appeared more awkward than she thought considering that her eyes refused to meet Lily's.

"How was it?"

Claudia chuckled, "Do you really wanna know?"

"Well, it's gross considering that it happened when I was inside the house and since you did it with Remus who is practically my brother at this point, but I still wanna know."

"Well," Claudia said with a shy laughter. "It was great."

"Great?"

"Great."

"How great?" Lily asked with a small grin.

"Do you really wanna know that?" Claudia chuckled.

"Eh, why not? I've told you things about James. That must be traumatising for you, but you're still talking to me so I think I'll be fine," Lily smiled.

"Traumatising would be an understatement," Claudia mumbled as Lily raised her eyebrows even more out of curiosity. "And, uh, so would me saying it was great be."

"What?"

"The thing with Remus," Claudia said, causing Lily to nod understandingly. "It wasn't just great. It was..."

"Ah, so that's what it was," Lily chuckled. "I thought so."

"What do you mean you 'thought so'?"

"You're all red in your face," Lily grinned. "And Remus had this smug look on his face for the rest of the weekend. It was definitely the best sex you two have ever had!"
