ON THE NIGHT OF THE FULL MOON, Claudia slept with his suffering in the back of her mind. She had no idea what the two of them had done to one another, but suddenly it was very clear that once again, they were apart.
It all happened so fast that it didn't even seem like they had even properly called things off. It felt like just another fight, even if the fight in question was as horrible as it could get.
It had been a few days since, and Claudia had found herself nearly calling him or owling him a million times, only to change her mind and not do so. It took everything in her to put him in the back of her mind and leave him there.
But maybe it was for the best. Maybe they needed to stop forcing a relationship that just couldn't be, even if the love would always be there.
Claudia was sick of her and Remus' constant loop of a relationship, where they got together and broke up, got together and broke up and then got together and broke up. Even so it still felt worth it to her, because she knew that he would be apart of it; apart of that endless loop. The difference now was that she didn't know if he felt the same.
He had said that a little piece of him hated her. And she didn't think he said it on accident or that it was a lie. Because it was true. It was as true as it could be. And all of that hatred she had caused.
Everything was falling apart. And she couldn't do a thing about it.
Once she had woken up on that morning after the full moon, Claudia walked down the stairs, yawning and groaning on the way down. It wasn't until she entered the kitchen that she realised that everyone else were already up, excluding Ella who was nowhere to be seen.
Discovering that they all were awake was not that lovely, however, for it looked like they were in the middle of holding some sort of intervention of some kind for her. They were all gathered, standing up and looking at her with slightly nervous faces.
Claudia let out a puff of air and looked at Regulus first. "Coffee?"
He nodded, "There's a cup on the counter. I used a heating charm on it for you."
"Thanks," she said as she walked towards the cup and picked it up, only to take a sip and then raise her eyebrows at them. "Look, if this is about Remus, I would prefer it if you-"
"Actually," Regulus said. "This is about something else."
"Something else?" She asked, looking terribly perplexed as to what it could possibly be about.
"Yeah," John said with a nod. "We figured that you can handle the Remus problems by yourself at this point. We've done enough intruding into your relationship at this point."
"Fair enough," Claudia said with a little shrug. "So...what's this about then?"
They shared quick glances between each other, and then David cleared his throat slightly.
