THEY PACKED UP A LARGE TENT. Casted some protective charms around the area that for a few days would be theirs. They made their beds and ate some dinner.

And they did all of it in silence.

It was day one. It hadn't even been 24 hours since Claudia had left behind Remus in Potter manor and the girl was already sick of hiding. Sick of running away and sick of the silence.

So she made some pretty rings in order to distract herself.

"What're these for?" Asked Regulus as she gave one in silver for him and one in gold for Nicolas, keeping one that had details of both to herself.

"Do you see this bracelet?" She said, tapping on the one that was comfortably around her wrist, just like always.

"Yeah," the boy nodded.

"Mary gave me this for my birthday, years ago," she explained, referencing to the Ravenclaw girl who was currently finishing up her last few months of her seventh year at Hogwarts. "It's enchanted, that's why it glows. And if our friendship ends...or, at least I think, if one of us dies, the bracelet stops glowing."

"Okay," the two boys nodded, stupidly unsure of where this was going.

"So, basically, these rings kind of have the same premise," she said.

"But it doesn't glow?" Nicolas said.

"Yeah, I know," she nodded. "But it will if anyone is in danger. I just thought that it would be smart since we're all kind of in this together. If something goes wrong, and one of us is alone or whatever, all we have to do is tap the ring three times and the rings will start glowing. That way we can help each other out. And, even better, it's also a tracking device. Just give it a tap with your wands and you'll know just where the person is."

"That's brilliant," said Nicolas as Regulus smiled proudly.

"Thank you, dear stepbrother," Claudia said, turning away from them and walking towards the radio they had brought, only to turn it on, give it a tap with her wand and use a certain password to be able to get to the programme she actually wanted to listen to.

"It's starting," she said, sitting down next to Regulus by the table as Nicolas raised his eyebrows at them.

"What is?"

"It's called Phoenixwatch," Regulus explained. "A friend of ours is hosting this radio programme every once and a while, where he gives updates about the war. He talks about which people are missing, and so on."

"Oh," said Nicolas. "What friend?"

"Just a friend," Claudia said. She wasn't sure why she didn't just say Henry's name, but for some reason something told her not to.
