REGULUS HAD TO HOLD onto Claudia's shoulders as they, alongside Claudia's American relatives, stood and watched Anne's grave.
The girl was absolutely exhausted. She had managed to get zero to no sleep the night before, and the strange thing was that she literally couldn't explain why.
She just couldn't fall asleep.
So, instead, she had laid down next to Regulus with a million thoughts about everything from Horcruxes, to her father, to Remus on her mind, and soon enough daylight shone through the curtains and the birds started chirping.
And so, Claudia ended up standing in front of her mum's grave as she continued to wobble in her place over and over again thanks to the lack of sleep, the beating headache she had and the hottest day of the year they were witnessing.
"That's it, I'm sitting down," Claudia sighed. "It's too hot for this."
"How about we go get something to drink instead?" Cora proposed, smiling warmly at her cousin's daughter.
"Yeah," John nodded. "Let's go."
The group left, and as they did so Claudia yawned and Ella complained.
"It's just so weird," Ella sighed.
"Remind us again," John said sarcastically.
"I swear there's something I have forgotten," she said. "I just feel it in me. Something's off, you know. But, thing is, I can't remember what I've forgotten in the first place!"
"Well, maybe you can just resort to shutting up so I can talk instead," John sighed.
"John!"
"I could really use a cold drink on a fine Saturday like this, couldn't you, C?" John asked his sister, shoving his hand in Ella's face.
"Yeah, I could," Cora sighed, wiping her forehead from the sweat that had formed there.
"And I could really use some coffee," Claudia spoke up with a yawn, her arm wrapped around Regulus' as she walked with her head on his shoulder. "Like, right now. Urgently."
"Well, if it's so urgent," Regulus said. "Do you know any good place nearby, Dia?"
She smiled, "I think I know just the one."
The group headed their way to no other place than Jo's coffeeshop and, as they did so, another group of people made their way down to the familiar muggle village.
Claudia opened the door, and soon enough they all made their way inside as the wonderful smells of freshly baked goods and coffee peaked their interests.
"Oh, Claudia!" Jo, who was standing by the register, exclaimed as soon as the girl entered the place and walked up to her. "How lovely to see you again! What brings you here?"
