IT HAD BEEN MONTHS. Claudia was tired. Sick of all of it. They got nowhere with anything, and as spring began creeping upon them nothing made sense any longer.

What was the point of it all? They weren't going to be able to find those stupid Horcruxes, Claudia was sure, and she also wasn't sure that the Death Eaters were looking for them anymore. They were probably just as sick of searching for something as Claudia herself was.

Every waking moment, Claudia thought about him. She thought about Remus. She wondered so many things. How had his birthday been? Was he still living with the girls?

Was he upset with her?

Not a single word had she said to the boy in almost four whole months, and it all just seemed useless at this point. It wasn't like they were getting anywhere, nor were they doing anything dangerous.

Somewhere deep inside, Claudia regretted leaving the boy behind. If she had known what she did now, she wouldn't have left him there to keep him safe. There was nothing to keep him safe from.

All day, every day, they went through endless records of wizards and witches born in the early 1900's. They tried finding something that could connect to Voldemort, but nothing helped.

They weren't getting anywhere. And Claudia's patience was tested every day.

She was soon to give up on sitting inside that tent every day, thinking and missing the boy who she believed for the millionth time probably hated her.

Oh, how much he probably hated her.

But he didn't. All Remus did was sit at home and wait. All day, every single day. He too was sick of it, but what else could he do? He couldn't exactly message her, because if he did it would be dangerous. He knew that Voldemort was probably able to keep check of people's owls by now, as he intertwined himself with the Ministry more and more, so he wasn't going to even try to get ahold of the girl in case that was true.

All he wanted to know was that she was alive, however. But he had no idea. He just had to wait. Just as she did.

A little while longer.

Claudia was sitting on her bed, thinking about Remus and possibly trying to contact him somehow as she heard the boys laughing from another part of the tent.

At least they're happy, Claudia thought to herself, a little bitterly but also not. She was glad to find that at least someone got to be happy and in love just as she always wanted to be without always being torn away from it.
