Chapter 7:

[Draken's POV]

I feel bad for everything that has happened, to Haru, to us, everything. How could I regret something that actually saved her life? I should be happy she hasn't been sold off to some old creep but I just can't help but feel bad for sleeping with another girl when I like Emma.

"Ken-bou, can you change the lightbulb in the storage room? It's flickering since this morning," Misaki-san yelled from outside my bedroom, I got up from my bed and went out of my room to meet her.

"Stop buying cheap lightbulbs," I whined, I've changed this lightbulb twice already this month,

"You and Haru haven't been talking to each other ever since she came back, did something happen?" Misaki-san asked as she handed me the lightbulb.

"Nothing happened," I told her, but she could see through my lies,

"She hasn't been leaving her room since," Misaki-san pointed out, "If you're not going to tell me, fine, but you have to do something about it, she's obviously upset especially with what happened to her with her mother, plus remember what happened during her birthday."

"I know," I said, defeated.

She's right, Haru's been going through a lot of stuff, she must be so traumatized with what happened and I still haven't apologized about bailing on her birthday.

I quickly headed to the storage room to fix the stupid lightbulb, afterwards, I quickly went to Haru's room.

I have the perfect idea to make her feel better,

"Haru, can I come in?" I asked through the door, but she did not respond.

I twisted the doorknob to check if it was locked and to my surprise, it wasn't. I headed inside her room, she was hiding under the covers on her bed.

How long has she been sulking like this?

"Haru?" I called out as I sat down beside her on her bed,

"Leave me alone," She mumbled, it sounded like she's been crying.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, "Let me make it up to you, let's go out, just you and me," I told her

"I don't want to," She said lowly,

"Let's go to Roppongi, I heard there's a Christmas Carnival there, there would be fireworks and a concert," I told her, trying to get her excited to go but she still wasn't budging.

"No thank you, you can go with Mikey and Emma if you want," She replied,

I'm starting to lose my patience, I got up and pulled the comforter from her, exposing her to the cold weather.

"We're going," I said sternly,

"Bastard," She cursed, this was one of those super rare times she would curse, and instead of being pissed, I couldn't help but laugh. You see, she rarely ever curses. In fact, you rarely ever see her get mad, so this was a sight to see.

"When was the last time you showered, get up," I said as I carried her bridal style then tossed her over my shoulder like a sack of rice.

"Let me go!" She whined as she started hitting my back with her little fists, how cute.

"Go take a shower, we're leaving in 10 minutes," I said as I put her down,

"You're really serious about this?" She asked, still in disbelief. I laughed and patted Haru on the head,

"Of course I am," I said, finally a smile crept on her face, she nodded and grabbed her towel from the rack, and went straight to the bathroom to get ready.
