Chapter 11: Always Me / Never Me

Chapter 11:

Emma is dead?

What the fuck is he talking about? How can Emma be dead?

I felt my knees weaken, I was shaking in distress. I just can't seem to understand how can Emma die? Wasn't she with Draken? Isn't Mikey with her? Mikey and Draken the two strongest deliquents in Shibuya were the closest to her, so how could she die?

Draken...

How is Draken taking this news in? Draken must be devasted right now. What if he does something he might regret? I have to go see him.

I pulled off the rope on my neck and ran off the apartment, not forgetting to grab my phone from the desk. As I was running I saw a group of people huddled together, there were police vehicles and an ambulance.

An accident near where I live, I don't feel good about this.

As I saw the medics trying to carry the stretcher, the person on the stretcher was covered from head to foot with a white sheet, that person's hand fell off the stretcher.

A familiar bracelet caught my eye. It looks similar to what Emma wore during the festival.

3 hours earlier...

[Emma's POV]

"I'm bored," I mumbled to myself as I was cleaning Mikey's room,  "Draken and Mikey are at a Toman gathering, I should go see Haru maybe she'd like to hang out,"

I haven't heard from her since she transferred out 2 weeks ago. Every time I would ask Draken he said she's fine and having fun with Mitsuya and the rest at her new school. He wouldn't tell me the reason why she suddenly transferred out either.

Come to think of it, he's been avoiding talking about her since she transferred.

I headed to the brothel where Draken and Haru lived, he has never brought me to his home but I am fully aware he lived here with Haru.

I went up to the 4th floor to be greeted by a slightly older gentleman behind the counter.

"Welcome," He greeted monotonously, "Oh, you're Emma, right?" He said as he saw me, "I'm Masaway, I'm Ken's guardian, Ken's not here right now,"

"Good day, I'm actually looking for Haruka," I told him, he then gave me a confused look.

"Haruka moved out 2 weeks ago, didn't you know?" He said,

"I thought she just transferred schools, I didn't know she moved out," I said, "Do you know where I could find her?"

"She moved to the 2nd street, it's kind of dangerous there at this hour, you want me to call her?" He said,

"It's okay, I'll be heading home now, thank you!" I said as I left the brothel. 

I know I was told it's dangerous at the 2nd district at this hour but for some reason, I had to go to Haru now, something doesn't feel right about tonight,

On the way, I passed by the school where Mitsuya and the rest go to, and I happen to bump into Peh who was heading to the Toman meeting.

"Peh-yan!" I called out to Peh who just hopped on his bike,

"Emma-chan, what are you doing here at this hour?" Peh asked me, 

"You go to the same school as Haru, right? How is she? Do you know where she's staying?" I asked

"Haru?" He asked confused, "She doesn't go to our school,"

"Everyone said she transferred here," I told him, but he just looked at me confused,
