"Come onnnn" James groaned pulling me out onto the sand heading straight for the water
"No Jamesss, I don't want my hair getting wet" I told him but he only smirked
"Ri, you either come of your free will" He whispered grabbing my waist pulling me in close
"Or I'm going to throw you over my shoulder and drop you in the ocean" He whispered into my ear 

I pulled away slightly looking at his expression
He was serious
"Let me put my things down" I said making James nod victorious but the boy should have known better
The moment I had put my things safely down with the rest of our things I took of running
"Hey!" James yelled after be while he began chasing me 

I didn't get very far until James arms had snaked around my waist picking me up while he laughed
"Nooo" I whined kicking and hitting until James lost his footing falling down
It didn't go the way I had planned, I was expecting to fall apart but instead James was on top of me smirking down at me
"How nice of you to drop in" He chuckled before pressing our lips together making me laugh myself

James and I had spent the entire day at the beach, it was a nice escape from reality
"come here" James motioned, I looked at him a little confused but he soon opened his legs patting the space in between it
Chuckling I moved over, the second I had James wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me in close while he rested his chin on my shoulder
"I want to take you out" He whispered making me turn to look at him while his arms were securely around me
"What?" I asked

"I want to take you out Ri, on a proper date. I want to do this right" He whispered making me smile more until it dropped
"But Kyle.." I whispered as James closed his eyes 
"Riley, he's going to find out eventually" He said opening his eyes to look at me, almost searching for some reassurance
"I know but that time doesn't have to be now" I sighed looking down
"Prolonging it will just make it worse" James said rubbing the side of my arm, I nodding knowing he was right
Kyle and I were already on rocky paths, this would just send us both over the edge

"I'll wait to tell him but it isn't going to stop me taking you out. We'll just have to be super super careful" James teased as he started trailing kisses from my cheek down towards my neck
"You'd do that?" I asked and he nodded
"Riley, I don't think there is anything in this world I wouldn't do for you" He chuckled making me cup his cheep before pressing our lips together 

It was getting dark now, James and I had sat watching the sunset just talking when we decided to head back to the house
"Hop on" James offered bending down slightly, I chuckled jumping onto his back making him chuckle as I wrapped my arms around his neck
I laid my head down on his shoulder as we began to walk back
"Don't go falling asleep Ri" He warned me
"Why not?" I asked 
"Because I've got something else planned for us" James smiled making me smile to myself as we continued to walk

"Woah, what is all of this?" I asked as we walked into the kitchen, it was completely decked out 
"There is no way you managed to do all of this and I didn't notice" I chuckled taking a seat at the table
"Give me some credit Riley, I told you I was going to take you on a date" He winked kissing my cheek before taking his seat

"You know, I've never done this" James said making me look at him confused
"Done what?" I asked
"This who date scene" He said making me smile
"Ditto" I replied making him chuckle
"Well, here is to another first" He smiled holding up his glass, I smiled happily tapping his
"And many more to some" I said as both of our smiles grew
