Den's POV
Patuloy parin ako sa patagong pakikinig kay Aly na tumugtog. Sumandal ako sa pader hanggang sa narinig kong tumigil siya sa pagtugtog dahil may cellphone na nagriring. Kinuha ko naman sa bulsa ko yung phone ko, hindi sa akin yon.
"Hello?" Rinig kong sabi ni Aly.
I automatically smiled when I heard his voice. Nagbago yung boses niya. The last time I heard him talk noong freshman kami. Noong tinanong siya nung prof namin kung bakit siya nag biology.
"No, I'm not playing piano again." Napakunot naman yung noo ko.
I just heard him play earlier. Sino bang kausap niya at kailangan niyang magdeny.
"Yes. Nasa school ako. I'm waiting for Greek."
"No, I didn't cut my classes. I'll hang up. Don't call me."
Silence was heard until he play another song. The melody makes me feel sad, he always play sad songs pero mas nafi-feel ko yung lungkot ngayon. Is he sad? Sino ba yung kausap niya at naging malungkot siya bigla?
"The sound of silence." I was about to shout when someone covered my mouth.
"Shhh. He might hear us." He whispered while removing his hand that's covering my mouth.
"Who are you?" I whispered.
"I'm Greek. What are you doing here?"
"Ah, nakikinig lang." Sagot ko.
Naupo kami sa isang sulok na medyo malayo sa abandoned music room. Abandoned music room kasi nilipat na sila sa building ng Music Department.
"I see. You're Dennise?" He said.
"Yeah. How'd you know?" Tanong ko.
"Well, my friends flirted with you." He chuckled.
I rolled my eyes. Friends?? So, marami?
"Who are your friends?" I asked.
"Ah, si Vic and Myco."
Now I remember. I chuckled too. Close ako sa dalawang yon and yes, we flirted. Pero tapos na yon. Anyway, the song ended kaya tumayo na si Greek at nagpaalam hinayaan ko siyang lumakad papunta kay Aly hanggang nakita kong sabay silang naglakad paalis sa building na 'to. Naglakad na rin ako palayo. Doon ako sa kabilang daan lumakad para hindi ako makita ni Aly.
I always wonder, he always play sad songs. I once heard him play a happy song when we were in grade school, there's this talent program in our school which requires us to show our talent and Aly played piano, a whole new world, all of us enjoyed the song. After that event, he started playing sad songs.
