Dave decided to spend the day with Les.

They probably wouldn't do much but watch movies and eat half of the food in the house, but it was the time spent together that mattered. Plus, Davey wanted to keep an eye out for Les.

His little brother rarely ever panicked. That had never happened before, and it was scary for all parties involved. Maybe they could talk.

Davey was cutting strawberries, placing them in a bowl and placing sugar on them. He was planning to put them on the waffles- the ones he had yet to make- with whipped cream and glasses pr water and orange juice.

Les won't wake up for about an hour, he thought, grabbing the ingredients he needed for waffles. "So I have about an hour to make waffles."

He grabbed the pancake mix and the waffle-maker, getting to work as quickly as possible. It may have been eight in the morning, but Davey was as fast as a machine.

He worked on making the batter, pouring it into the maker and waiting patiently. Making three waffles siding take that long, and by the time he was on his fourth, Les had awoken from his slumber.

The younger teen didn't get out of bed for the longest time. When he woke up, he sort of stared at the ceiling before deciding to get out of bed.

"Good morning", Davey says, smiling at brother as he grabbed his plate of waffles. "Want something to eat?"

Les eyed him warily, glancing at the waffle-maker. "What do you want to talk about?"

"What?"

"You only make waffles when you want to talk about something. What is it?"

Davey sighed, opening the waffle-maker and taking the last one out. He placed it on the plate and invited Les to sit as the nearby table, both of them sitting across from each other. "What happened last night?"

"Dumb question", Les answered, rolling his eyes.

Davey stared at him. "Something happened to trigger that. And you came home in a weird mood last night, and I-"

"I just got overwhelmed, okay?" Les sighed, looking away from his brother's gaze. "Nothing big happened."

Davey stayed quiet for a bit, letting it go for later. "Fine. There's also what you said last night."

Les blushed, crossing his arms and putting his head down. "Yeah. That."

"Are you okay?"

Les looked at his brother, furrowing his brows in confusion. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well, realizing different from what you've known can be very big", Davey explained. "I mean, for as long as you've been alive, you thought you only liked girls."

Les licked his lips, nodding his head to the side. "Yeah. I did."

"So?"

Les looked at his brother, sighing when he realized he couldn't get out of this one. "I do like Books. But I think I like Sally, too. I mean, she is my girlfriend, I-"

Davey smiled when his little brother paused. "It's okay. Take some time to yourself first, though. If you need to break up with her for a while, that's okay."

Les nods, running a hand through his hair. "How are you so good at this?"

Davey laughed softly, shrugging. "I'm honestly making this up as it goes."
