This has nothing to do with the story, but I once got a message from someone and I was like "who is this?" and they were like "your daughter" so that was weird.

Anyway, enjoy!

Davey woke up at 12 the next day. He couldn't stop thinking about Les. Maybe he went too far? He didn't think he was pushing, but maybe he was? He'd never understand the difference.

He laid in his bed, the covers still over him. Les in long gone by now. I'll have to talk to him later. His phone buzzed.

RandomNumberlol: Hey!

Davey quirked his brow, looking at the number. Who is this? They're in the same area...Davey was feeling adventurous today.

Who is this?

RandomNumberlol: Bernadette Peters

Now Davey was very confused. For one, Bernadette Peters wouldn't just text him for no reason. Another thing, why would someone try to impersonate her?

RandomNumberlol: Nahh im kidding. It's Jack!

Well, that made a lot more sense.

How did you get my number? And how come you aren't in the group chat?

Jackie: i broke my phone and had to get a new number

Why the new number?

Jackie: someone leaked my old one

Oh-

Davey wasn't expecting that.

Jackie: n e wayz wanna hang out?

The lack of grammar was hurting his brain, but he wasn't going to tell that to Jack. It'd be rude.

Sure.

Jackie: great! I'll meet you at Morgan's

Davey stared at his phone for a while, realizing that Jack never revealed how he got his number. He figured it wasn't important, so he let it go and decided to get out of bed.

He left reluctantly, feeling more tired than usual, almost like how he felt after The Incident. Pushing past that, he walked over to his closet and grabbed his outfit for the day, leaving his room and going to the bathroom.

—————

Jack was weirdly nervous.

He'd never felt this way about meeting up with a friend before. When he met up with most of his friends, he usually felt excitement or dread, depending on his knowledge of what exactly was going to happen.

As he stared at himself in the mirror, hair still wet and shirt barely buttoned, Crutchie walked in.

"Hey, Jack", the blonde smiled, walking into the room. "What's up?"

"Nothin' much", Jack replies, quickly buttoning up his shirt. "You?"

"Same, I guess. I do have to go to campus today."

Jack laughed at Crutchie's depressed sigh. "Do you need me to take you there?"

"No, thanks", Crutchie says, looking around the room. "I'd rather not die before I graduate."

"Ha", Jack sarcastically laughed, checking himself out in the mirror. "That's funny."

"What are you doin' today?" By now, Crutchie had sat down on his older brothers bed, waiting until his partner got here.
