01. Misplaced

The science lab was huddled with students as soon as the bell dismissed the class. Hyunjin winced at someone stepping on his foot. He looked at Jeongin with a tired look. "These short girls really are asking for a kick."

Jeongin snorted. A few girls beside Hyunjin eyed him with a distasteful look. He sighed, bowing reluctantly.

"Hyung, you need your glasses so that you stop breaking away from the boy's queue."

"Jeongin!" Hyunjin gasped, shaking his friend. "Why won't you for once guide my blind eyes?!"

Jeongin only laughed in return. He pulled the sulking boy towards the counter where the students had to give back their safety goggles and the apron.

"Good afternoon, sir. I left my glasses here."

"Hyunjin. I'm a woman." The teacher sighed. "What kind of damage has your vision received?" She disappointedly looked at the student.

Hyunjin chuckled, apologising. "I'm sorry. I was just teasing you, Mrs Kim."

"I'll kill you now." Jeongin and Mrs Kim laughed. "What is the color of your glasses?"

"They are round, thick rimmed and black."

"Oh. Okay. There's only one that matches your details." Mrs Kim handed over the glasses, and Jeongin snatched them from Hyunjin's hands before he could put them on.

"Hey! Give them back. I'm not kidding. I miss seeing the world now."

"Ow- Hyung. How do you even see? This looks like the bottom of a glass bottle!"

Hyunjin smacked the back of his friend's head. "I'm done with you. I don't need glasses. I've seen enough of your existence." He pushed him away, walking off towards the classroom.

"I was joking!"

"What the... " Yeseul tried the glasses, blinking at the still blurred world. "These aren't mine?"

"Huh!" She pulled off the spectacles that resembled hers too closely. "What in the world? Did my glasses just get swapped?"
