With great confidence, Dex walked in the room and took his seat. All eyes fixed on him as he opened his folder to get out his paperwork.

'Morning gentlemen, shall we commence. I've got a lot on my schedule so make it sweet and short please.' He said looking at the six men in the room.

'As I stated last night, I'm second guessing the insurance policy I have contracted with your company. My wife happened to spot the loop holes in the policy last night when she was going through my work files. Here are the points she noted as vulnerabilities on our part and advantages to you. I'm concerned because they actually are all true and a high priority for us. I didn't get a chance to typewrite so here you go.'

Dex took the folder from Mr. Barrett and looked over the document inside. It was a neatly handwritten list of the things his wife considered to be either unspecified or excluded in their insurance cover. He frowned his face in annoyance.

'Your wife is a---'

'Hairdresser. She just opened her own salon a few months ago.' Mr. Barrett said with pride.

'Hairdresser? With all due respect Mr. Barrett, you called for an urgent meeting with myself and these respectable men over what your hairdresser wife thinks? She clearly knows nothing about this business and that's why she's worrying you with these non-existent loop holes. Did you even bother to look at the policy yourself first?'

'Are you discrediting my wife's intelligence Mr. Venom? I'll have you know that I hold my wife's opinion with high regard. And yes, I looked into all she was saying. She is right.'

Dex got up from his seat and slammed the folder on the table surface. A dead silence swept through the room as everyone else watched anxiously the two men that were staring at each other in fury.

'You're both wrong. All she noted down is already covered for in the policy. She needs to do her research well next time before you assemble us for this nonsense.' Dex said curtly. An anthem of gasps filled the room in shock of his attitude.

'Variance is offering me a better cover for less cost. I need a better proposal from you by end of tomorrow or else you've lost a good client. There's a high chance you already have due to the disrespect you just showed my wife in her absence.'

Dex bit his lower lip and clenched his jaw. He was about to respond when one of his board members stepped in.

'Mr. Barrett, we apologize on behalf of Mr Venom. We're sure he meant no disrespect to your wife or you.'

'He better not have. Not everyone is so disrespectful to their wives like he is. Watch your manners young man, or you'll lose everything in a second.' Mr. Barrett said before storming out of the room and banging the door behind him.

Dex fixed his glare on the door then his eyes swept through the room. He saw the non-too happy looks he was receiving from his colleagues. Without a word, he walked out of the room.

Beth was woken by Mark's voice that was coming from his room close to the one she was sleeping in. It sounded like he was having a phone conversation. Looking at the wall clock, Beth saw that it was almost afternoon. Her eyes widened in surprise and she quickly jumped out of bed. She headed straight for the bathroom.

About half an hour later Beth was ready to go down for breakfast. She left her guest room and headed towards the room where Kiara was had slept in. Her feet froze to the floor when, as she passed through Mark's door a familiar voice sounded from the room.

'...am more than capable of managing the company right now. I am not stupid.'

'Dex, you've just lost us an $85 million dollars contract. A few days ago we lost the Mergers' contract too. How many more clients do we have to lose before you accept that you're in no condition to be working right now?'
