Skin to skin, bodies intimately tangled together and faces almost touching, but their hearts were so far apart that the physical intimacy was not enough to make Beth stay. She looked at her husband one last time and quietly moved away from him. Her feet touched the soft carpet and she got off the bed. She threw on  the shorts she had from Prince's house and the shirt that Dex has been wearing.

Every fibre of her being that loved Dex was forcefully resisting her movements like a tornado, but her mind was telling her to leave. She had to run from this heartache.

It was common sense that she'd always love Dex, but she wouldn't force him to love her back. His passionate kisses, his sinfully undoing touch, his sweet husky whispers during their lovemaking, his aura that took over the whole room and his stunning features. All these she'd miss desperately and the memory of him would always be tattooed on her heart.

Beth slowly and quietly made her way to the door. She held onto the handle as she gave one regretful look at Dex who was in a deep sleep. It was expected of him as he'd only just gone to sleep an hour or so ago after he'd tired her with his insatiable appetite. During the passionate lovemaking, Dex was a completely different person. It was as though he couldn't get enough of her. He made her feel like she was an addiction, Dexter's addiction. He even listened to her, cared enough to ask her what she wanted and how she wanted. Beth felt a deep blush painting her cheeks as she though of the little embarrassing demands she'd made when he'd asked her what she wanted. She felt imoral but Dex always made the moment feel right. She would never forget the way he held her. Never.

The thought of never seeing him again stirred up a heavy nauseous feeling inside Beth. She felt a heavy and unsettling feeling form in her stomach. It started churning and before she could walk out the door,  she found herself running for the bathroom.

Her tongue was filled with the disguisting taste of vomit. She threw up continously without any time to breathe in between. A violent, sharp twisting pain shot through her stomach every time she threw up. Beth  felt dizzy as she was failing to breathe. She held on tightly to the commode and tried to stop for a second so that she could breathe. It didn't work. She violently threw up some more.

'Come on sweety, breathe for me. Please.' Unexpectedly, Dex said coming to kneel by her side and push her hair out of her face. He called for an ambulance immediately without leaving Beth's side. She felt embarrassed to be in such a state with him watching but she loved that he was there with her.

She couldn't help but feel that this was some sort of punishment to her for trying to deceive her husband. Deception was a sin and she detested it, but she hadn't been able to resist the temptation. Now she was payting for it terribly.

After almost twenty minutes, Beth finally stopped. She washed her face an brushed her teeth as Dex hurriedly threw on a random shirt and pair of trousers. The paramedics were already downstairs in their house  waiting for Beth. Dex had told them to give her time to change into clean clothing.

'Come here.' He said gently with his arms wide open. Beth walked to him and fell in his embrace. He hugged her quietly and kissed her forehead and cheeks. He cupped her face and looked at her with so much concern.

'What's wrong?' He asked Beth giving her a red and white dress to wear.

'I don't know. My stomach hurts and I feel nauseous.' She answered putting the dress on. Dex held her face and gave her a small kiss on the lips.

'Careful. I might throw up in your face.' Beth joked pushing him away slightly.

Dex smiled at her and kissed her harder. Shortly after he took Beth by the hand and walked her out to the awaiting paramedics.
