Beth was scared. Her heart missed a beat everytime either the gun or knife were pressed hard against her. Her knees were trembling and her mind numb with fear. The ladies room was vacant of any other person except her and the teenage girl. Roughly she was pushed back in the toilet she'd been in earlier on. The girl slammed the door closed and locked it. Her gun never lost aim of either Beth's heart or head as she spoke.

'You are going to walk out of here and keep walking straight like everything's normal. If you dare make a sound or scream for help, I will kill you on spot. Your men have been dealth with already so don't even count on them for help. You're alone in this.'

'Why are you doing this? I have the money, please let me go.' Beth cried. A painful fist slammed in her face and she cried. Her cry was silenced by the sharp being pressed harder into her neck. It made a small stinging cut and Beth knew if she spoke another word she'd be dead.

'Let's go.'

Beth masked a brave confidence and tried to hide any betraying expressions from the outside world. She straightened herself and took a deep shaky breath as the girl opened the door and let her out first. She followed behind with the gun and knife out of everyone else's sight but Beth knew better.

Beth opened the door and felt the fresh air hit her in the face. Her eyes scanned through the mall crowd for Ferdinand or any of her men, none were in sight.

'Move.' A cold whispered order echoed from behind her. She looked ahead and started walking. Her steps were faltered and her body shivering in fear, but everyone was too busy living their lives and going about their day to notice.

Soon they were at the mall parking lot. Beth found herself being ushered into a black vehicle with tinted windows. The car had no fitted seats at tha back. All pretense of bravery and confidence ended the moment she was inside. She was forced to get on her knees before a masked man that sat on a stool at the back.

He touched the side of her face with his rough hand and forced her chin up. He slapped her hard in the face and when her head swung sideways, he landed another hard slap to the other cheek. Beth failed to keep her head facing up and salty tears stung her bruised face and now cracked lips.

'Call him.' The man ordered. In seconds a dial tone filled the vehicle following by a ringing phone.

Beth looked wondering who he has referring to. She noticed that there was only her and the masked man at the back. There were two other men sitting in front, and the girl that had brough her there  was driving. The floor she knelt on had pebbles and a rough texture that hurt her knees especially when they were moving over speed humps. She could slowly feel herself sitting because her knees couldn't take anymore. She was grabbed by the throat and pulled back to kneeling position.

'Hello?' A female voice asked.

'Swith on the back speakers.' The masked man ordered the men in front and spoke loudly.

'Dexter Venom please.'

'Dexter's busy.' And she hung up.

'Venom needs to put a tight leash on his mistress. She seems to not know her boundaries.'

The man said with his eyes that stared pitifuly at Beth through the eye holes on his woolen mask. Beth was numb the moment his words registered. Mistress. She wasn't surprised to hear, but it still hurt to know.

'She's his secretary.' Beth whispered trying to assure herself but Victor heard her.

'He is sleeping with her. Accept it.' Victor said.

'Boss, we're being followed.' One of the men shouted form the front.

'Get us out of their sight.'

The vehicled immediately sped up and Beth found herself holding onto her captor's legs for support. He grabbed her wrists and threw them off him. He pulled Beth by her hair and sent her flying against the two doors of the car. Beth screamed as pain shot through her head and shoulders.

'Idiots! I told you to be discreet, what happened?'

'Venom seems to have had more men on her than we've been told of. Sam lied to us.' One of the men answered fearfully.

'Calm down Victor. We'll get rid of them.' The girl said with a seductive tone at Victor's name. Beth felt naseous when understanding of who or rather what she was to him sunk in. Such a beautiful girl wasting her life on the likes of Victor Drayton.

The vehicle swerved and made turns until Beth lost count. She was being constantly thrown off her knees against the doors and Victor forced her back up in kneeling position. Soon police sirens could be heard tailing behind them too. Victor cursed and took a gun out of his pocket. Two gunshots rang loudly in Beth's ears and she followed where the gun was pointing.

'Useless. Get me in the clear or you're next.' Victor shouted at the girl. She gasped in fear and sad shock as she lost focus and looked at the dead bodies besides her but Victor's words forced her attention back on the road ahead. Beth felt her heart miss several beats when the car's speed increased further and until they were almost flying over the road.

Beth felt the tip of the gun on her forehead. She breathed in heavy and closed her eyes.

'Give me your phone!' Victor demanded taking Beth's phone from her pocket. Beth hadn't set in on lock so it was easy for Victor to use it. He quickly searched through her contacts and dialed. He put the phone on loud speaker.

'Hello?' The swoman answered again.

'Put Dexter on the phone now!'

'Who is this?' She asked.

'Do it now before I shoot his wife in the head.' Victor ordered pressing the gun tip harder into Beth's forehead.

'Who cares. Just stop call...'

'Bianca, what did I say about my phone?' Dexter's voice echoed furiously from the background. Beth felt a sinking emotion in her stomach. She wiped the tears that washed over her face at the sound of the woman's name.

'Beth, do you need anything?' He asked into the phone with great annoyance.

'Yes, I need you to say your last words before I shoot.' Victor said coldy.

'What is it honey?' Bianca asked affectionately and quietly from the background but Beth heard.

'Whatever you want, I'll do it. Just don't hurt her. If you touch as much as a strand of her hair, I will kill you.' Beth could only cry some more when she heard his voice. This would be the last time she heard it. It hurt deeply. She wanted to hate him but in that moment, it was impossible. Angry, yes she was, but there was not enough time to hate him. She could only love him in her last moments alive.

'Too late. Your men messed up my plans. She will pay the price.'

Victor said at the same time as the car made one sudden swerve to the side and a screeching sound. Victor's gun went off as Beth was pushed hard against the doors and the car lost control and slammed hard into something. Window glass shattered and surrounding cars hooted as caos unfolded. Beth felt her body landing hard and painfully on tarred road. Her right shoulder was hurting as though there were knives piercing into it and she couldn't move. The last thing she remebered seeing through her blurred vision was a car coming straight at her.
