The tension in the room was tangible. No one dared to speak first but all eyes were on Dex. Karen was the only one who seemed amused by the scene.Tasha and Mark looked ready to kill if Dex did not come up with a good explanation whilst Beth looked blank. Her face betrayed no emotion as Dex looked at her only and hardly paid attention to anyone else's reaction.

'Is it true?' Beth asked softly turning her body to fully face him. Dex remained silent for a while before finally answering.

'Yes she's pregnant b--' Beth raised her hand to stop Dex from speaking.

'You're joking right?' Both Tasha and Mark asked in repulsion at the same time. Dex didn't turn his eyes away from Beth. He took her hands to place them in his but she suddenly got up and moved away from him. A horrified expression took over her face as she shook her head looking at Dex.

' Seems like you all you have to offer to my son has already been given by another woman. What a pity.' Karen said to Beth faking a sympathetic look.

'Karen stay out of this. You've caused enough trouble already.' Gareth shouted at Karen.

'Get out, all of you. I need to talk to my wife alone.' Dex said moving towards Beth. She kept reversing until she bumped into Mark who stilled her and turned her to face himself. He hugged her and whispred words of comfort in her ear. Dex strode to Mark and pulled him off Beth in anger.

'I said get out. Now!' He shouted irately.

'No, don't leave. I don't need privacy to give these back.' Beth took off her engagement and wedding rings and threw them at Dex's face. Dex stood stunned as the rings fell to the floor and Beth marched past him and grabbed her phone from the table. She dialed a number and as soon as someone answered Dex snatched the phone from her ear and hung up before throwing it on the sofa.

'It's not mine. The pregnancy, I didn't father it. Beth?' Dex shouted restraining Beth as he blocked her way.

'You've created a big mess son. I'm sure I raised you to be a better man than this. Sort this big blunder out before you lose everything.' Gareth said sternly to Dex before looking at Beth apologetically.

'Dex did nothing wrong. Don't deny your blessing honey. That pregnancy is yours no doubt. If not, why have you been paying Bianca's medical and house bills, rent and sponsoring her shopping sprees for the past four months?' Karen asked raising her brows at her son. Dex bit his lower lip as he stared at his mother warningly.

'Let me go.' Beth said with livid emotions displayed on her face. Dex ignored her request and tried to explain himself but Beth wasn't having any of it.

'Four months? You have known about this for the past four months and you never said anything?' Beth asked with a horrified look. She shook herself violently until Dex released her.

'Beth, I wanted to tell you but the timing was never right.' Dex said.

'Looks like Karen saved you the trouble then.' Beth said spitedully before storming out of the room and heading for the main door. She managed to exit the house and make it to the main gate but that was as far as she got before Ferdinand was in her way.

Beth grunted in frustration. 'I need to go, now.' Beth said impatiently to Ferdinand.

'I'm sorry Mrs Venom but you know the rules. We can't let you out without the boss's orders.'

'Please, justl et me out. Dex knows I'm l...'

'Beth get back here.' Dex's voice interjected furiously. Beth turned to see her husband standing behind her with his family nowhere in sight.
