Elisabeth had long forgotten the beauty of sleep and dreams ever since Dexter came into her life. She'd long given up hope and her dreams were either filled with echoes of Dexter's heartless words to her, or nightmares of her father coming after her. Peace had vanished from her life all because of these two men. Even worse now that she had gone twelve nights without seeing Dexter or hearing from him. She was afraid to close her eyes because she didn't want to be sleep when he came to see her. She didn't want to be asleep when he came to beg her forgiveness and ask her to take him back.

Who was she kidding, no such thing was going to happen. Dexter was rid of her for good. He didn't care. She had served her purpose in his life and it was high time she moved on. Prince was already looking into finding a good affordable divorce lawyer for her. She found herself coming closer and closer to telling the whole truth to Prince about her marriage arrangement with Dexter. She knew all odds were against her if she were to try and stand against him in court. All she wanted was a quiet divorce where she could freely walk away and start a new life. All she wanted was a future so distant from the life she was living now.

Her hopes had turned into nightmares now. The little sleep she got tortured her with dreams of what she would never have. A future full of Dexter and their happy children. She would cry in her sleep. She knew many would call her weak if they were to see her in this state, but what could she do. She had never been in love before. Her feelings for Dexter were beyond repair. They had now rooted a deep love for him deep in her heart and hating him only meant hating herself.

Despite the constant reminder of her heartache from the dreams she was having, she appreciated them because they were her only soure of seeing Dexter. His cold eyes would be loving and warm in her dreams. His harsh words were replaced with words of love and devotion. Yes, her dreams had reallly become her most welcome enemy. She really couldn't make up her mind about them. She loved them as much as she hated them.

However, never had they been this torturous. Never had they been as tormenting as the dream she was having now. Spiders, they were her worst nightmare. Crawling up her body and all over her face. She tried to move away but they were everywhere. On and in the bed, on the floor and walls. They were everywhere.

She felt them on her face and her mind froze. She screamed but quickly closed her mouth as one spider quickly paced it's way for it. A loud banging sound came from the door as the lights switched on. In ran a murderous Prince with a few security men behind him. They pointed their guns at her direction but quickly dropped them when they saw no intruder. However, the fact that she could feel Prince's hands cupping her face and then suddenly picking her body from the bed made her realise this was mo dream. It was in fact trully happening.

'Who did this to her? What the hell is your purpose standing guard then? You're all useless. Useless!' Prince shouted to the men who stood in shock of what they were seeing. He  trampled over the pool of spiders to Beth's bed and soon marched out of the room with her cradled in his arms.

He took her to his room and brushed off all the eight legged creature that were still crawling all over her now pale body. Afterwards, he laid her on his bed and covered her with a small blanket.

'Bathroom please.' Beth said with chattering teeth. She could still see the spiders everywhere around her. She screamed countless times and Prince tried his best to soothe her but it didn't work. He refused to leave her alone when she forcefully scrubbed every part of her body. He did however agree to look away and faced the door.

As she stepped out of the tub,  the bathroom door banged open almost slamming Prince in the face without warning. Beth suddenly found herself surrounded by Dexter's being. She involuntarily filled his arms but quietly appreciated his arms around her. She breathed in the mascular scent of him and tears started rolling down her cheeks.
