So, I got a ton of requests really quickly. I honestly thought it'd take longer since I was out for so long, but thanks for all the support! I still don't own Marvel, unfortunately, but I'm glad you guys are still hanging around for some reason. (Does hanging count as a pun on the webs? I hope so)
This was a request by @PanFluidMe. Hope you enjoy!
WARNINGS: painfully awkward new kid vibes, embarrassing dad, Peter was going to be trans, but then it never came up, so...you can imagine he is, it's just not stated.
The hallways were so crowded.
Peter didn't really know what he expected, but ever since he'd said goodbye to his dad in the principal's office, he had been shocked and overwhelmed by regular high school life. More than anything, he wanted to turn and run back to where he knew his dad would still be in the car, catching up on emails before he drove back to the tower. He knew that if he really wanted to, Dad would let him go back to being homeschooled. He also knew that he really didn't want to let Tony down after everything he'd done for him.
After his parents had died when he was 5, he had been left with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, but they were both killed a few years later during the disastrous Stark Expo. He knew he was incredibly lucky that Tony had found him that day and decided to take in a little overexcitable genius kid as his own.
"Hey, are you Peter Parker?" A kind voice broke through his thoughts, and Peter jumped to face the speaker.
"Y-yeah, that's-that's me! Peter Parker."
The kid smiled, seemingly unphased by Peter's failed attempt to be cool. "I'm Ned. Mr. Morita, the principal? He sent me to make sure you found your way to class. Were you really homeschooled before? I can't imagine what suddenly going to a school would be like. Do you think..."
Peter relaxed as the kid, Ned, chattered away while they walked through class. Ned navigated the way through the crushing crowds of teenagers like it was nothing, leaving Peter to follow along in his wake.
"Anyways, here we are! Chemistry. We're already halfway through the year, so she'll probably have you introduce yourself in the front of the class, but you don't have to stress about it, because it'll probably just be your name. Also, we are going on a field trip tomorrow, so she might pull you aside about that, but there's a chance they got permission from your guardian while they were signing you up for the class, so I wouldn't worry about it. And there's a seat next to me free, so if you want you can sit there." Mini rant-slash-pep talk over, Ned opened the door and pranced his way to his seat. Some students were already there, but more pushed past Peter on their way to their seats.
"You must be Peter, right? I'm Mrs. Cobwell," The teacher waved him over to her desk. "Before class starts, I'll have you introduce yourself, but first, I wanted to get you caught up. Your transcripts show that you'll probably do fine here, but we are going on a field trip tomorrow. Your guardian already approved, and I know it's weird to be missing most of your classes on your second day of school, but all your other teachers have already been informed, so just show up here on time tomorrow morning with a drawstring bag and a packed lunch, ok?"
Peter nodded, hurriedly stashing this information away.
"Okay, class, listen up! We have a new student, Peter Parker." Peter waved shyly at his introduction. The class stared blankly. "Say, hi to Peter Parker, kids."
"Hi, Peter Parker." The class recited.
"Good. Make him feel welcome, please. You can sit down, dear."
Peter smiled as Ned waved frantically at him until he sat down. "This is going to be awesome, man. Do you like Star Wars?"
"Ned, quiet please."
Peter nodded quickly, then turned his attention to the front of the class, Ned's happy cheers slightly too loud to be discreet.

"So, how was school?" Tony asked, practically bursting with excitement from the driver seat.
Peter glanced up from where he had his head in his knees, trying to process the day. "It was good, I think. Loud. I made a friend."
"Yeah? That sounds good kiddo."
"Mmm. He's really chatty. And he asks questions without giving me time to answer. He likes Star Wars though; green flag."
Peter was looking out the window, so he missed the way Tony smiled at his adopted son.
———————————
"In your seats, everyone! Sit down! Flash, don't make me say it again—hi, Peter. Did you pack a lunch?" Mrs. Cobwell smiled and waved over the excited commotion of the classroom. He raised his brown paper bag and smiled when he received a thumbs up in return. "Anyone who is not in their seat when I reach 1 will be spending the day with the principal learning how to behave like high schoolers. 3, 2-"
The class was seated and quiet by the time she reached two, leaving just Peter standing in the doorway.
"Come on in, hun. We're about to line up an get on the bus."
"Why does he—" a whine from the back of the classroom was cut off by a glare from the teacher, who was quickly becoming Peter's favorite.
The bus ride was uneventful. Ned chattered away happily in Peter's ear, while Peter gazed outside the windows and hummed lightly to distract from the influx of noise. Ned didn't seem to mind.
The bus pulled to a stop outside Avengers Tower, and that's when Peter realized his mistake in not finding out where the trip was taking place. The faculty and staff obviously all knew he was Tony Stark's kid, it was on his records, but they were also aware that he was supposed to be flying under the radar to allow him to get to know people without his dad's influence. How they thought taking him to his home for a field trip was "under the radar" was beyond him.
He trailed behind the group as they entered and received their badges.
"Hi, Peter." The tour guide was in front of him, a girl named Gwen. He knew her somewhat, the way he knew everyone in the building.
"Hi, Gwen." He replied, softly. She smiled and moved on, not handing him a badge. Ned looked at him weirdly, but for once, didn't say anything.
The tour started out in the intern labs. Peter shyly returned greetings from the interns as he walked in. The class stared.
"Hey, Pete, can you check this for me?" Jack, a newer intern, walked over, waving a tablet in the air.
Peter glanced at Mrs. Cobwell, who gestured to go on.
He grabbed the tablet and started going through the lines of code. Ned, oddly quiet for him, looked over his shoulder.
"I think that's--sorry, nevermind."Ned started, pointing at a line several below what Peter was scanning.
Peter followed his gaze and landed on a minor mistake in the code. "You were right," He told Ned, "No need to be sorry," turning to the intern, he handed back the tablet, saying, "There's an extra semicolon in line 107."
"Thanks, kid."
"Hey, Peter-" Another intern rushed up to take Jack's space.
"Leave the kid alone," Tony Stark walked into the lab, making his way towards Peter. "Hi, kiddo."
"Hi." Peter sighed as his image was now irrevocably tied to Tony Stark and all plans of lying low were crushed.
"Sorry about this, kid, but we really need you. I'll have them sign NDAs." Tony gestured to a secretary behind him who hurried up to hand out NDAs to the kids. "There's an emergency meeting on the stabilizer you built, and we need you there."
"Okay." Peter turned to Ned. "See you tomorrow?"
"Uhhh...yeah. See-See you tomorrow."
The End.
I don't think I quite hit the mark on that one, but I hope you enjoyed!
Bye!
