I don't own Marvel, but I do own...what do I own?

This was a request by TBSAAHAY123 I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: nothing as far as I'm aware. Except, this is written in a different style than I normally do, but it seemed to fit.

"What's your name?"

"Peter. You?"

"...No way."

That was the start of a beautiful friendship between Peter Quill and Peter Parker. After being introduced, they decided to spend the day together.

They had decided, along with the rest of the Avengers, to go by their last names to limit confusion. However, they unanimously agreed their team name was "Peter^2" when Parker typed it into their chat, that is, as soon as Parker explained what ^2 meant.

"Squared. As in 2^2 is 4 and 4^2 is 16."

"Oh. Yeah! That's cool!"

Parker did his best to introduce Quill to the modern world. Quill's brain almost exploded upon hearing about Spotify.

"No way. And I can play whatever I want, whenever I want?"

"So long as you're okay with ads. Unless you want to pay to get rid of them."

"Awesome."

Quill did his best to introduce Parker to his taste in movies.

"Footloose is the best movie of all time."

"I'll believe that if you can watch Star Wars without changing your mind."

...

"I take it back."

"Thought so."

Tony did his best to ignore them bonding over their name.

"And Wade likes to call me Petey-pie."

"That's what my mom would call me sometimes when she was in a really good mood. Does anyone ever call you Pete? Pete doesn't really fit my personality, I think."

"Yeah, but usually only my science friends. And you're right. It doesn't fit you."

One particularly memorable moment was when Parker showed Quill the Buzzfeed Unsolved about him.

"No way! They were right about the aliens, though."

"Aliens are always the answer."

And at the end of the day, Peter^2 fell asleep together on the couch, watching Star Wars and eating popcorn with M&Ms, which Quill had insisted was delicious. Parker had to agree.

The End.

So, that was short and in a different style, but I liked how it fit with the prompt. I hope you enjoyed it, too!

Bye!
