A/N: Still don't own Marvel.
Warnings: Violence, panic attack/sensory overload
(Once again, please tell me if I missed something that should be in the warnings. Thanks!)Previously: "I'm Spider-Man."
The room was deathly silent for a moment before Steve spoke up.
"Tony. We need to talk. Now." Captain America was shaking with anger. He couldn't believe that Tony had brought a kid to fight in Berlin. He had dropped an airplane terminal on him!
"I-" Tony hesitated, "I am staying here. If you need to talk, the kid can hear too."
"Fine." Steve took a breath to try and calm himself down. "Why- No. What in the world were you thinking Tony!"
Peter flinched. The Captain wasn't even yelling yet, but his voice was loud enough to give him a headache.
"I was thinking that we wouldn't actually fight. I was thinking we would talk like civilized people." Tony seemed more than a little upset, which shocked the other Avengers.
At this point, the Avengers had split back up into their teams. Half the room moved to support Tony, the other half stayed behind Steve.
"YOU BROUGHT A KID TO A FIGHT! YOU KNEW THERE WAS A CHANCE IT WOULD GET VIOLENT, BUT YOU BROUGHT A KID!" Steve yelled at his former friend.
Peter started shaking violently. When Captain America had raised his voice, he had gone into full sensory overload mode. Everything was too bright and too clear. He could hear everything happening in the compound. His clothes felt like they were burning his skin, and he could feel the slightest motion of air around him. He could smell all the food in the kitchen that was a few feet away, and taste everything he'd eaten in the past week. He could sense the slightest movement of everyone around him, thanks to his Spidey-Sense.
Luckily, Tony noticed that the kid was hurting and ignored Steve, who was still yelling, in favor of helping Peter.
"FRIDAY, SO protocol." Stark breathed, barely making a sound.
"STARK! ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING!" Steve ranted at full volume.
The room was suddenly thrown into pitch black as FRIDAY activated protocols. The sound in the room became muffled.
"What?" Steve whispered, noticing that Peter was lying on the floor in pain.
Slowly, Peter stopped shaking and sat up.
"You okay, kid?" Tony asked softly.
"Yeah. Just a headache now. Thanks, Mr. Stark." Peter rubbed his head and smiled sheepishly. He was a little embarrassed at having an overload in front of all the Avengers.
"What was that?" Steve asked softly.
"Wouldn't you like to know." Peter glared at the man.
"Excuse me?" Steve glared back at the kid.
"You don't deserve an answer. You hurt Mr. Stark, and when he invites you into his home, you yell at him." Peter stood up and faced Captain America head on. "You are the reason he had a panic attack this morning. You have no right to question him. And what makes you think you can control what I do? I'm not your kid, and I can take you down in seconds."
"Kid. It's okay. He was just worried." Tony stepped in to diffuse the situation. He recognized the look in Peter's eyes.
"Kid. You don't understa-" Steve started.
SMACK!
Peter huffed angrily as Steve cupped his recently slapped cheek. "Don't mess with my Dad."
Ahhhhhh...
