I'm Spiderman

To be totally honest, I'm writing this because I'm in a mood today, and I want to rant about something. That being said, I don't own Marvel and I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: hurt and feelings and maybe hurt feelings. Also, not canon-compliant. Just...go with it. It's just Peter ranting, really.

"That's it." Tony declared. "No more Spider-Man. Give me the suit."

Peter paused. They had been through this routine once before, at homecoming, and Peter had played along because he still had his old suit. But Tony had long ago burned his old suit, so if he gave up now, he wouldn't be going out any time soon.

"You know what? No." Peter crossed his arms over his chest. "No. I'm not going to give you the suit-the one that I made in Europe with some old scraps!"

Tony glared. "Kid. You're not the first to make a suit out of scraps. Give it to me."

"Oh! I'm sorry! Are you going to let someone take your Ironman suits if they decide you aren't being safe? Because I seem to remember you clearly and vehemently denying anyone but you having the right to your suits."

"That's different." Tony growled.

"Is it? Well, let me tell you something, Ironman. I don't care. You aren't in charge of me. You definitely aren't in charge of Spider-Man. I was swinging around and stopping crimes long before you showed up." Peter twisted to point through the window at the New York skyline. "And I am strong enough, and quick enough, and smart enough to do it with getting hurt most of the time."

Tony sighed. "Kid. You are still young. You can't be putting yourself in danger-"

"I'm not in anymore danger as Spider-Man than I am as Peter Parker." Peter sighed. "You want the suit. Fine."

He pulled the suit from his backpack and threw it at Tony's face. Tony fumbled with it and stared confused at Peter.

"When you go to sleep tonight, know that you did absolutely nothing to stop me. Know that I'll still be out there as Peter Parker, saving lives without the fancy tech. Know that the most you did by taking my suit was put me in more danger." Peter glared. "I became a superhero after my powers and after the suit. Before then, I was just a kid on the street trying my best to help people. Ask May. She once found me when I was ten, standing between a man with a knife and a mother with her child."

"Being a hero isn't about the suit, Mr. Stark. I want the suit because I want to be safer as I help people, but suit or no suit, I'm going out there and I'm being Spiderman. There is nothing you can do to stop me."

Tony looked shocked, then smiled. He handed the suit back, and Peter, slowly calming down from his rant titled his head in confusion.

"I was worried about you, but I was wrong to try and control you like that. But you know, kid, I'm proud of you. You did it. You are so, so much better than me. Go out there and save lives, Spidey."

The End.

Requests are still coming, I just needed to rant about something, so I wrote this. Hope you enjoyed!

Bye!
