"Ah!" (Y/n) yelped as Gwen helped him out of bed. With the mixture of his broken back and his recovery from vampirism he was in complete agony. "This is the worst pain anyone has ever felt! Nothing will ever be worse than this!"
"Oh stop being dramatic" Gwen shook her head as she sat him down in a wheelchair that mister fantastic had supplied them with. "Let's get out of here" today was the day the boy was allowed to go home.
Fifteen minutes later Gwen wheeled the wheelchair out of the building. "Where's your apartment?" Gwen asked as she pulled out her phone to use as a GPS.
"I've been staying with a friend" (y/n) replied. "I'd rather not go back to her place right now. Could I stay with you? I need to protect you anyways"
Gwen shrugged. "I doubt my parents will say no" she put her phone away as she started walking and pushing the wheelchair. "It's not like they'd think you can do anything to me in the condition you're in"
"I take offense to that!" (Y/n) huffed. "Even in this condition I could give you the time of your life"
"Sure you could" Gwen replied before patting the boys head. "Never lose your confidence" (y/n) huffed.
Half an hour later Gwen rolled the boy into the elevator of her building. "Try not to piss off my dad" she asked (y/n) as she ran her hand through his hair. She pressed the button for her floor with her other hand.
"I'll try my best" (y/n) replied with a shrug. "I'm curious to see how long it takes him to figure out I'm the new Spider. It's not like I try to hide it that much"
"Just be polite" Gwen sighed before the elevator arrived on her floor.
"Yeah yeah" (y/n) shook his head as Gwen pushed the wheelchair down the hall before opening her apartment door.
"Anyone home?" Gwen called out as she pushed the wheelchair into the living room.
"Gwen? Where've you been?! We've been worried sick" Captain Stacy quickly walked into the room.
Gwen quickly got defensive. "Because of you I was almost shot!" Gwen's fathers eyes widened. "Luckily for me (y/n) took the bullet!" She pointed to the cast on the boy behind hers arm. The boy just waved at the captain. "Then he broke his back saving me again! All because YOU pissed off someone evil enough to hire an assassin to go after me!" Gwen grabbed the wheelchair and pushed it over to her room, closing the door behind her.
"That went well" (y/n) smiled as he looked at Gwen. "How come you can yell at your dad but I can't?"
Gwen sighed before sitting down at her desk and starting to do her makeup. She glanced over at (y/n) quickly before looking away.
"What's wrong Gwen?" (Y/n) asked as he put a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm just... I don't know what to do" she lay her head on the desk. "How do I know this won't happen again? Someone could shoot right through that window" Gwen motioned to the window behind her.
"Yeah... Might want to have that replaced with bulletproof glass" the boy nodded as he looked at the window. He then turned back to Gwen. "Look, I'm not going to let anything happen to you. I know some people, as soon as I can I'll contact them and have the hit removed"
"Who can you possibly know that can do anything like that?" Gwen asked skeptically as she sat back up and crossed her arms.
"The mayor" (y/n) replied calmly.
Gwen's eyes widened "Mayor Fisk? The Kingpin? Why on earth would he help you?"
"Man this answer really isn't going to make me look good" (y/n) rubbed the back of his head. "Could we not do this now?"
"Why would he help you?" Gwen asked again as she stood up. "What did you do for him?"
(Y/n) sighed, he really didn't want to answer but knew she'd make him. "I'm the one who told him Spider-Man's secret identity"
Gwen's eyes widened once again. "Why would you do that?!"
"I had a lot of reasons" (y/n) replied defensively. "He's the worlds worst dad, he's the reason my mom died, he's the reason my first serious girlfriend died, he's done nothing but fuck up my life ever since I first met him! I hate him"
Gwen looked down at the boy. She crouched down and very gently put her arms around him, careful not to hurt him. "I'm sorry" she whispered to him. (Y/n) didn't reply, he was just surprised that she had taken this so well.
"Thank you" (y/n) said before leaning his head on Gwen's shoulder.
"You know. This settles it" Gwen started as she kissed the boys cheek. "You're definitely the Superior Spider-Man. None of the others can compare to you"
"Superior Spider-Man" (y/n) smiled as he thought it over. "I like the sound of that"
"Of course you do, it's about you like everything else" Gwen said causing the boy to laugh.
A few hours later
"Yeah? Yeah it's me" (y/n) said as he spoke into his phone quietly. Gwen was fast asleep in her room as (y/n) sat in his wheelchair in the living room. "Yes I know what time it is" the person in the other side of the call said something. "I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested!" (Y/n) shook his head. "Look I need you to get the hit on Gwen Stacy cancelled" he waited for a response. "You owe me Fisk!" He sighed after the other man's next words. "Alright, alright. I'll owe you one, how about that?" A moment later he spoke again. "Deal"
