"Fucking boxes" (y/n) groaned as he stumbled as he carried a large box from the moving truck towards his and Gwen's new home. "Why didn't we just get a moving company?!"
"Because you have super strength" Gwen replied as she helped steady the boy. "I didn't realize you were bad at keeping your balance"
"I'm not bad at keeping my balance! I just tripped" the boy lied before walking into the house with the box. "Shut up"
"You used to be full of good comebacks" Gwen sighed as she followed (y/n). "Don't tell me you're using all your good comebacks on other women!" She feigned hurt.
"Don't worry. You're the only needy nerd in my life" (y/n) said as he put the box down in the living room.
"Good" Gwen kissed the boys cheek. "Now go get the couch. I need somewhere to sit down"
"I should make you do all the work" (y/n) groaned as he walked out of the house.
"I love you too!" Gwen called after him teasingly.
"You know what would show you?" (Y/n) asked a minute later as he walked in with the couch. "I should get a hernia! Then you'd have to do stuff while I heal"
"I just had to help you while you healed. Next time I'm letting you fend for yourself" Gwen replied evilly. "So don't go hurting yourself"
"I'll show you" (y/n) replied as he put the couch down. "I'll show you all!" He yelled the last part before walking back out. Gwen moved the couch to a better spot.
A couple hours later
"And we're completely moved in!" (Y/n) announced as he sat down on the couch. He hadn't broken a sweat but he was still kinda annoyed that he had ended up doing all the work.
"Thanks hon" Gwen smiled at the boy as she entered the room. "Want to go get dinner?"
"Do you know anywhere to eat around here?" (Y/n) asked skeptically.
"Uh-no I guess not" Gwen sighed before sitting next to her boyfriend.
"I think you know what we're going to do" (y/n) said as he put an arm around Gwen.
"I do?" Gwen asked.
"It's one of the reasons I wanted us to get an apartment in the first place"
Gwen sighed. "Fine" she stood up. "Let's go"
About an hour later
"So cute!" (y/n) smiled as he looked at the tiny kitten sitting on the table before him. "We'll take him!"
(My dream cat)
"Great!" The owner of the high end pet store smiled. "That'll be $500"
"$500?! Gwen asked wide eyed. "Why so much?!"
"Who cares?" (Y/n) asked as he pulled the money from his wallet and handed it to the man. "Look at that little face!"
"Russian blues are an expensive breed" the owner replied with a shrug as he put the money in the cash register. "Hypoallergenic, playful like a dog, and absolutely adorable. Hard to find all those things in one cat"
"Still seems like a lot" Gwen replied with a frown.
"Babe it's my money not yours. Don't worry about it" (y/n) said as he picked up the kitten in his arms. "I'm going to call you Dr. Robert Oppenheimer"
"Seriously?" Gwen asked as she suppressed a laugh. "Isn't that a little long?"
"And it's a girl" the store owner added in.
"I suppose you're right" (y/n) pouted. "What should we name you?" He asked as he booped the kittens nose. The kitten meowed cutely. "How about Hestia?" The cat licked the boys finger.
"That's a beautiful name" Gwen smiled and picked up the other cat supplies they had bought. The two left the store.
"You're my new favorite thing ever" (y/n) smiled at the cat in his arms. Gwen pouted but (y/n) ignored her.
About an hour later
"And this is our new home!" (Y/n) said to the cat as they walked into house. "You will be treated like a queen here"
Gwen walked past the boy annoyedly. He had barely said anything to her over the past hour. He had spent the whole time talking to Hestia.
(Y/n) put the cat down on the coffee table before grabbing the bag from Gwen. He put a cat bed on the ground before pulling out a food bowl and a water bowl and bringing them to the kitchen.
Gwen sat down on the couch and watched as (y/n) gushed over the kitten. "This is ridiculous" she muttered as she crossed her arms.
(Y/n) turned to Gwen. "No. What's ridiculous is that you're jealous about this" the boy smirked as he picked up the cat and went to sit down next to Gwen. "Don't be a baby. Neediness is not attractive"
Gwen glared at (y/n). "Could you at least try to say that in a nice way?"
"No. I'm saying it the way it is. You're jealous of a kitten and you need to learn to deal with the fact that you're no longer the only creature in my life that makes me happy" (y/n) kissed the girls cheek before standing up and walking away with Hestia.
"Alright fine" Gwen huffed. "But you can't just throw me aside now that you have a cat!"
"I didn't" (y/n) replied calmly. "It's only been an hour. And I don't think I like the way you seem to dislike our daughter!" The boys tone got louder as he went on and pet the kitten.
"Our daughter?" Gwen asked with a smile. "I never thought of pets like that"
"I figured you would like if I said that" (y/n) smiled back. "Personally I prefer pets to kids but-" he was cut off by a kiss from Gwen.
"Shut up before you ruin the moment" Gwen smiled as she pet the cat in her boyfriend's arms. She kissed him again and pulled him close.
