At first, making Jeongguk jealous didn't seem like a good idea.
Seokjin honestly thought the older wouldn't give a single fuck that was until the snarky comments and glares towards him and Taehyung were being thrown.
Taehyung was right. If looks could kill, they'd be dead. His eyes were cold as his gaze was dead set on the couple.
Jokes were made about the unexpected couple here and there, but those quickly fell short. Jeongguk would let out a fake laugh before his expression became almost scornful.
There was so much tension the room started to feel stiff. It was suffocating. Everyone could tell something was going on, just not quite sure exactly what it was.
But the younger kept on with his little game. He held Taehyung's hand as he sat in the older lap. Taehyung pressed kisses on his cheeks and temple here and there, making the younger blush every time. They really sold the part. Everything between them seemed so genuine.
This, in retrospect, was a bad idea because Jimin and Taehyung went back home while his hyungs went to the store, leaving him and Jeongguk all alone.
The room was eerily quiet, leaving Seokjin to look at his phone then back around the room as he tried to avoid the older's dark stare on him.
The younger's eyes shifted to Jeongguk, who sat across from him. The older's stare was still on him. His face was blank, void of all emotion.
"What is your problem?" The younger huffs in annoyance.
Jeongguk dramatically gasps as he points at himself. "Problem? I don't have a problem," he says mockingly.
"Clearly, you do. You're always starting with me for whatever reason," Seokjin said with a frown.
The corners of Jeongguk's lips pulled into a smirk. "The look on your face when you're angry is cute. I like ticking you off. That seems to be the only way to get your attention," the older admits with a shrug.
Seokjin's eyes go wide, the tips of his ears burn a light red. "Why would you even want my attention? I thought you didn't like me."
"I don't like you," Jeongguk easily slips out, and the younger isn't sure why he feels hurt. He hadn't done anything wrong, yet Jeongguk still has this weird vendetta against him.
"Then why--"
Jeongguk laughs, cutting off the younger's question. "That's for you to figure out, princess," he teases, a smug look on his face.
"Or you could tell me," Seokjin sasses.
"Where's the fun in that? I thought it was pretty obvious," The older shrugs.
Seokjin rolls his eyes. "Obvious, right..."
There's a moment of silence between the two before Jeongguk looks back at the younger.
"Do you really wanna know?" He questions mockingly.
Seokjin looks over at the older, an eyebrow cocked as he watches him stand up. "Do I?" the younger questions back.
There's this glint in Jeongguk walks over to Seokjin before plopping down right next to him, a tad bit too close.
"I don't like you--"
"We've established that," Seokjin says with a sarcastic smile.
"Just covering all bases," Jeongguk chuckles, his voice low giving the younger chills.
He places a hand on Seokjin's thigh, and the younger looks down, uncertain if he should push the older away or not.
"Get to the point," Seokjin huffs, folding his arms against his chest.
"I just want you in my bed--"
"Not happening," the younger scoffs, shoving the older's hands off him.
Jeongguk raises an eyebrow, that smug look still on his face. "Oh right. You have your little boyfriend--"
"His name is Taehyung," Seokjin corrects.
Something seems to snap in the older, he lets out an annoyed laugh. "I don't fucking care what his name is. All I know is he'll never fuck you better than I can."
And God, Seokjin has never hated a man so much.
