"You wanna get out of here?" The older huffs out, a puff of cold air comes out as he sighs, sticking his hands in his pockets, his eyes looking anywhere but Seokjin as if he didn't want to be seen with the younger.

"Huh?" Seokjin mumbles out, confused.

Out of all the people to see him like this tonight, it just had to be Jeongguk, and as far as he's concerned, the older hates him, now he wants to take him somewhere?

"You're clearly upset about something, and I want to take your mind off of it. Let's go do something," Jeongguk suggests, sounding annoyed.

And maybe if this was a different day, Seokjin would have argued with him, but instead, the younger sighed with a nod.

"Follow me," he murmurs, stepping away, leaving the younger to chase after him.

He followed the older down a dirt path to a playground. The younger asks no questions as he sits on the swing beside Jeongguk. He pushes himself lightly, dragging his feet on the ground as he stares down at his sneakers.

There's a comforting silence between the two as they take in the place around them. Seokjin tries hard not to think about what happened moments ago, but his eyes begin to prick with tears again.

Jeongguk sighs as he looks over at the younger. "What even happened? I don't want to pry. You don't have to say anything if you don't want to."

"I feel like such a dumbass right now," Seokjin says with a weak dismissive laugh as his hands grab the cold metal chains on the swing.

"Maybe you are one?" Jeongguk deadpans.

"Shut up," he whines, dropping his arms.

The older stifles back a laugh, "No, I'm sorry, continue."

"I confessed my feelings to Minho tonight," Seokjin confesses.

Jeongguk frowns in confusion, "What about Taehyung?" He questions.

"There's nothing between Taehyung and me. We're just close friends," the younger lies, deciding now is not the time to tell Jeongguk about what Taehyung had been planning.

"Well, what did that Minho guy do? Freak out? Threaten to tell Namjoon?"

"No, he took it well. Really well. He kissed me," Seokjin admits, his dreamy smile as if his mind was replaying the moment over and over again.

"Oh," Jeongguk mumbles, and he's not sure why that bothers him, but he does. He doesn't dig too deep, pushing the thought away.

"I always thought he would kiss me one day, and we would both feel this spark between us, and we'd just know–"

Jeongguk lets out a laugh and turns to look over at the younger. "Wow, that's the lamest thing I have ever heard. You really are a virgin, huh?"

The younger pouts, "Jeongguk--"

"My bad. So what? No sparks?" He questions.

"I felt something. He didn't. I lied and laughed it off, and that was it," the male says with a shrug. "I guess I just expected too much, but I'm glad I told him either way. He always knows what to say."

"So those were happy tears?" The older questions.

Seokjin pauses and thinks for a moment before answering. "More bittersweet," he admits. "I think I'm okay with how things turned out."

"Well, I love the turnout of this. Minho is too old for you. He's like what thirty?" Jeongguk scoffs as he pushes himself off the swing.

The younger rolls his eyes, following the male down the dirt path."Thank you for this," Seokjin mutters. "I thought we were like enemies or something."

"No problem," Jeongguk says with a shrug. "We still can be. We can go back to hating each other after this."

The younger laughs and shakes his head. "Nah, I'm done with that. You're a nice guy Jeongguk-ssi. You know when you're not being an asshole or flirting with me to make me mad."

"Thank you. And call me hyung," Jeongguk orders with a jeering smile.

"Seriously? There's only a one-year difference between us," Seokjin whines.

"Don't care!"

Seokjin pouts, "Okay Jeongguk hyung."

"You're welcome, princess," the older grins.

"I don't like that one," Seokjin says with a frown.

"No?"

"No," He pouts, shaking his head, and Jeongguk can't help but think about how cute the younger is when he acts like this.

Jeongguk hums, "How about dove?"

"Really dove?" Seokjin huffs, crossing his arms.

"It's either dove or Seokjin the saint," Jeongguk suggests, a smug look on his face.

The younger grimaces, "Dove it is then."

Silence falls between the two for a bit. Seokjin takes in the scenery of the night sky as they walk through the park. He picks out stars naming them in his head before turning to see the older, staring at him with a smile.

"Thank you again, hyung," he mutters, and the older shrugs.

"No problem, friend?"

"Yeah, friend."

Maybe tonight wasn't all bad.
