"Surprise!"

Minho looks around the room with wide eyes as the light turns on, revealing the club full of people. All his close friends and coworkers. Everyone he was leaving behind.

"Holy shit. A surprise going away party, really?" He questions with a smile as he walks to his group mates."

It's not exactly a surprise if we planned it in front of you," Yoongi scoffs as he pushes a gift into the older's chest.

Seokjin laughs at the two. They always had the funniest dynamic. Rivals that actually care about each other. Even now when Minho is leaving, Yoongi won't let it go.

"I made these for you, hyung," Seokjin says as he hands a cupcake to the older.

"I'm gonna miss you the most," the older teases, ruffling the younger's hair before walking off to speak with the rest of his friends.

"Jinnie," Taehyung calls. He had been watching the younger attention drift for a bit now. Something seemed off about Seokjin. He looked anxious and scared, and though they aren't very close yet, everything in him wants to protect the younger.

"I'll handle it," Jimin mutters to the concerned male before stepping over to Seokjin.

"You alright?" Jimin softly asks as he places a gentle hand on Seokjin's forearm.

The younger hesitates before letting out a sigh. "Well, I was thinking that maybe I would talk to Minho hyung tonight," he says.

"Are you going to tell him how you feel?" Jimin questions, and the younger nods.

"What's a better time than now? I mean, I thought I had all the time in the world to tell him my feelings but look at all of this. He's leaving, and I may never see him again, and he'll never know," Seokjin admits with a shrug as if he was trying to play off his emotions. Something Jimin knows the younger does all too well.

"Are you sure? I just don't want you to get hurt if he doesn't take it well--"

Seokjin shakes his head as he lets out a soft laugh. "I'll be okay. I just want him to know how much he is loved," he says, giving the older a weak smile.

"Can you please tell him I want to talk to him? I'm going to sit outside for a bit to clear my head."

"Okay," Jimin says with a nod.

The younger walks out of the bar into the cold night. He takes a seat on a bench beside the establishment, trying to collect his thoughts.

He really has his heart set on this. Minho has always been a topic in their conversation. What started as a little harmless crush turned into a lot more than what the younger was expecting. He thought his feelings would go away with time, but with someone as kind as Minho, how could that ever be possible?

Never in a million years did he ever think he would admit his feelings out loud. He'd joke about it once or twice, thought about the outcomes if he did. He knows Minho is a good person. He wouldn't turn the younger way so harshly, yet there's always been this fear in his mind that maybe the older is not all he made up in his mind to be.

"Jin!" A voice called. The male quickly stood up, whipping his head around to see who it was.

Minho stood there, a kind smile on his face as he approached the younger and signaled Seokjin to take a seat before plopping down beside him.

"Oh hyung," the younger mutter, licking at his dry lips.

"Jimin said you wanted to speak to me," Minho says with a smile.

Seokjin nods weakly, shifting his eyes away from the older. "Yeah, I do," he mutters.

Minho frowns as he looks at the younger. "What's going on? You look so--"

"Sad. Yeah, well--you're leaving, and I'll miss you a lot," Seokjin confesses with a shrug.

"I'll visit as much as I can. I'm gonna miss you, love," the older chuckles, and the younger smiles at the nickname. "Is this what you wanted to talk about?"

Seokjin shakes his head, "No, and now I'm having second thoughts telling you this."

His heart starts to race, and his stomach aches like he's going to puke. God, he can't do this–

"You can tell me anything," Minho says with a reassuring smile as he places a hand on the younger's shoulder.

"Okay," The younger breathes out. "Promise you won't hate me after."

"Jinnie baby, I would never hate--"

"I'm in love with you, and I have been for the past two years now," Seokjin mutters as he looks over at the older.

There's an unreadable expression on the older's face as Seokjin feels the comforting hand on his shoulder slowly slide off.

"Seokjin--"

"I know you don't like me back! You don't have to say anything. This is not some confession to guilt trip you to stay or anything, I just feel like I had to tell you because you're leaving, and if I didn't do it now, I would be stuck wondering what could have been or stuck with the same feelings. This has been killing me honestly but now that you know, I feel like I can properly let go–"

"If I wasn't leaving, would you have ever told me?" The older asks.

"I don't think so. I mean, you're my brother's best friend. He sees me as a baby, and I'm like completely sure you do too."

The older shrugs, "Just a little bit--"

Seokjin groans, rolling his eyes, and the older laughs. "You know I don't think you love me. Maybe a bit infatuated, but I can't blame you--"

"Shut up!" Seokjin whines as he shoves the older with his shoulder. "I think it's love, and I imagined when we kissed there would be this spark, and you'd realize you like me too. I dunno it's stupid--"

The feeling of lips against his stops the younger in his tracks. He feels Minho's hand caress his cheek, everything was sweet as the older kissed him gently, and in a moment, it was all over. Seokjin's mouth was left agape as he stared in shock.

"Did you feel a spark?" Minho questions, his hands still cupping the younger's cheek, his eyes fixated on Seokjin's lips. Seokjin shakes his head slowly. "Yeah, me neither." the older chuckles.

"Thank you for loving me, Jinnie. I really hope you find someone that treats you well and loves you so much. Someone like you deserves that much and so much more."

"Thank you, hyung," Seokjin says with a meek smile.

"Bye for now?"

"Bye for now."

He lied.

He felt that spark.

It was love.

His eyes began to prick with tears as he sunk into the bench. He could hear footsteps approaching him. He ignores it, keeping his head down. The last thing he wants is for anyone to see him crying.

"Jimin hyung, if that's you, please leave me alone," he mumbles.

"Not Jimin," A familiar voice says, and the younger looks up to see Jeongguk standing there.

"Oh," he mutters, wiping the tears from his cheeks.

"You wanna get out of here?"
