He tried his best to ignore it. The sinking pit in his stomach. The feeling of eyes on him, scrutinizing his every move.
Jin looked across the table, and Jeongguk stared at him with adoring eyes and a grin on his face. And even though his eyes met his, he could still feel someone watching.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" The younger asked with a pout, beginning to feel self-conscious.
Is there something on his face?
Seokjin's eyes were wide as he quickly wiped at his mouth with a napkin.
Jeongguk let out a chuckle at the younger's mannerisms. "You look cute," he flirted with a smile leaving the younger stunned and his heart beating way too quickly.
Seokjin wishes he wouldn't say things like that. He'll only get his hopes up. But the younger let up a weak smile as he rolled his eyes, shaking his head in annoyance.
"Shut up--"
The feeling of his phone vibrating in his pocket stopped him, and he pulled out his device.
xxx-xxxx: Stay away from Jeongguk.
What???
xxx-xxxx: I can see you two.
xxx-xxxx: He doesn't want you whore.
Seokjin frowned as he lowered his phone and frantically looked around the restaurant they sat at. He started looking for any eyes that might be on them but nothing.
"Hey?" Jeongguk worriedly called, gaining the younger's attention. "What happened? Someone texted you?" He questioned with a frown.
Seokjin felt his throat go dry as he hesitated, "Um--"
xxx-xxxx: Don't say a word.
He let out a weak chuckle, "Game notification," the younger lied, licking at his lips.
Jeongguk could see right through his bullshit shit as he stared at the younger with narrowed eyes.
The older let out a sigh before mustering up a smile. "Come on, I want to take you somewhere," Jeongguk said, deciding to let it go.
Seokjin looked scared out of his mind. It isn't the right time to confront him about whatever is going on.
"I promise you'll have fun." And those words alone brought a smile to younger's face, forgetting about whatever had happened.
"Oh, okay!" Seokjin said excitedly.
Jeongguk grabbed the younger's hand, guiding him out of the booth they were sitting at.
For today he hopes he can be a good distraction.
