Lena's: POV
Everybody is happy and enjoying themselves. Kennedy is sitting in her highchair eating chicken nuggets
I've just started her on solid foods
As long as I cut them in small pieces
She's not walking yet. We still have to carry her around at times, she's only managed to take two steps so far
The pediatric doctor told us not all babies walk right away. So l'm hopeful
Stef's already baby proof the house
Stef walks over towards me and whispers in my ear, asking about when are we going to sing happy birthday. I told her we could So she went in the house to go get the cake
She brought two cakes, one for Kennedy and the other one was just for guests. My mother rushes over to me and compliments on the food,
Baby your Daddy would be so proud
Mom she said to me, mommy l Miss him so much l think he'll be crazy about Kennedy Lena tells Dana
Lena wipes the tears from her eyes
Stef comes back outside carrying the birthday cake. Sharon's helping her with the tub of ice cream, everybody's gathering around Kennedy. Stef sits the small cake in front of Kennedy
And light the candle, and we all began singing happy birthday to Kennedy
I helped Kennedy blow out her candle
Our daughter sticks her little fingers inside the cake. We started laughing
Baby you got cake on your hands
I tell Kennedy, she just smiles at me
And begins eating her cake. While cuts slices for our family and friends
I watch Sharon scoop up the ice cream on to the plates, l don't think Kennedy's gonna up her presents
She's to intrigued by the icing
I can't eat any because of the sugar
Stef says it's butter cream icing
